Accidents happen and when they do while shaving the results can be messy. There is only one resource for sealing and protecting freshly shaved skin from further damage and it should be used at the first sign of a cut or razor nick. New products have come to the marketplace which claim to be updated versions of the classic but the best solution is still the classic styptic pencil. Recently introduced is a gentle, less stinging, liquid version which combines the healing power of witch hazel and the ingredient found in the solid pencil.

Tired of the little Nick Sticks breaking and chipping?
I did and bought this to try. Once in a while I manage to nick my head while shaving. This reminds me of a tube of Chapstick except it stops the bleeding almost instantly. Well, if your definition of instantly is < 3 seconds. Works like a charm, little to no burning, and doesn't chip and break away in pieces like the sticks do. Highly recommend to all those slickheads out there.

Great product that's way better than those chalk pencils
I had purchased one of these many years ago. From a catalog, if that gives you some idea just how long ago. It lasted so long that the sponge covering on the applicator tip eventually wore away, and long before the styptic liquid ran out.I could not find a replacement anywhere so I started using those chalk pencil things, but I hate them. They are sloppy to apply, always have sharp little shards embedded in them, and make a chalky mess everywhere.I was searching online, saw this product, and immediately dismissed it because the packaging made me think it was a chalk pencil thing. Something made me take a second look and I'm glad I did. This is the stuff I'd bought before and assumed they'd stopped making. Some people have said in their reviews that this doesn't work as well for them as a chalk pencil, but I never had that problem. I think it works great.I would highly recommend giving this a try. If it works for you you will never go back to those chalk pencils again.

Somewhat damaged in transit
Have used this excellent product for minor cuts in the past and it works well.I ordered a set of three at a good price. However, two of the bottles had small leaks from beneath the cap in transit.Opened the one that had more leakage than the other and it looks like itmight otherwise be okay. Neither the cap nor the bottle appear cracked.Only time and use will tell if the product will be okay in the long run. Iwould recommend a bit more padding for transit in future.

Wasn't sure
Wasn't sure about these little sticks; if they would work or not but I was tired of the old chalky stick. I am so glad I purchased this because it stops any Nick, doesn't burn, works well. once it dries a few moments later you can put your aftershave on and continue on with your day. ended up getting a few more sticks for my toiletry packs for camping and other events.

If it doesn't come out, poke it with a sowing needle.
As other guys have said, I had this when I was younger. Then it disappeared from the shelves. Looked it up on Amazon. And there it was. Works great. I saw some guys said they had a problem with it not coming out. Think outside the box. A quick poke with a pin needle and it's there.
