Fits extremely well
After trying several different brands of hydration packs I discovered this one and it the best hydration pack I have ever owned. It took a few tries to get the pack adjusted, but once everything was in place and loaded with water and my bicycle tools I was so happy that I purchased the Osprey Salida 8. One of the first things I noticed about the pack is that I DON'T notice it when I'm riding. It does not flop around on my back and the airflow under the pack is amazing. The shoulder straps do not dig into my skin - even when I'm wearing a sleeveless jersey. The magnetic tube attachment is sheer genius - no more drinking tube bouncing around causing a distraction. I'm 5'2" and this pack fits very nicely. I can highly recommend this hydration pack.

Perfect size for a half-day hike
I use this backpack for both short hikes and longer hikes where I will need a lunch/snacks. It is pretty lightweight, comfortable, and I don't feel like I sweat too much with it on.With the bladder filled, I can still fit my lunch, a few small items like snacks, glasses, keys, etc. There are a couple zippered pockets on the inside and the outside flap/pocket can be expanded to fit a light jacket or something as well. The magnet for the mouthpiece is a great idea and works well. It would be nice if there was a cap to keep the mouthpiece clean because I would accidentally get dirt on it whenever I set the backpack down, but perhaps this is an accessory that can be purchased extra.Overall, I really like this backpack and have recommended it to others.

My only comment is the size it a bit small so make sure to take note of size before buying.

Excellent, once you get it set up right
I didn't like this at first, but I've come to a good place with it. The big issue for me is the magnetic sternum valve holder. The pack is set up such that the magnet is on the left-hand side of the chest, and the pipe feeds down the left hand side as well. This caused me all kinds of issues. I kept knocking the tubing off the magnet every time I moved my left arm, or tried to take a drink. Instead of being a help, the magnet was causing me frustration and did not seem to be working. When, however, I unthreaded the tube from the left-hand strap and tried going across my sternum, these issues magically disappear. I no longer dislodge the magnet with my arm movements, and getting a sip is as easy as reaching my mouth down to the valve. I still sometimes dislodge the magnet, but by and large I can now get a sip as I move, and without using my hands (perfect for biking). The pack is very small, and holds only the water and maybe a few other small things (phone, keys, wallet) so it's not meant for day-tripping. It's an easy way to hold water for a hike or a bike-ride, and the pack distributes the weight (such as it is) evenly. The teal color is, I guess, what makes it a "women's" pack, but I think it is a unisex piece of equipment. However, I am a woman and it fits me fine.I completely agree about the difficulty in figuring out how to fill the reservoir. The trick is that once you have removed the zipper-lock thing, you have to pull REALLY HARD to open the bag, at least the first time. I was worried I was going to break it, but it's sturdy and it will open. It's only tough to open the first time when it's sealed shut and you don't know what you're doing. After that, it's not hard. The water portion is top-rack dishwasher-safe, but I'm not sure that actually will help make cleaning easier, and it is the kind of thing that seems to be want to be washed by hand.Overall, this is a great hydration pack, and I do recommend it.

Great pack
Osprey packs are my favorite. I use the Raptor for everything from MTB to OCR. My wife is pleased with this Salida--it is a little more bare bones than my Raptor, but it fits great, stays balanced, and the water reservoir has all the great Osprey features. Great for biking and hiking.

Comfortable
This is a great pack. It is comfortable and breathable. I really have enjoyed it, I only wish I would have got a bigger one. This works great for shorter hikes but if you plan on doing a long, all day, difficult hike you likely won't have enough water or room with this backpack.

useful but not the best quality
Useful and good biking backpack. Would give 5* if not for the workmanship and stitch quality. Expected more attention to detail for the money spent on it. Wanted to change but the seller is not responding. I have ended up with crooked stitches and straps. Not very happy.

Toller Rucksack
