I purchased a shower curtain rod from Walmart because it said "tension rod". I was disappointed to find out it wasn't a spring tension rod. To me, that isn't a "tension" rod. It is an adjustable rod with plastic caps on the end. I mean, do they even understand the definition of "tension"?Obviously not.So I was extremely pleased to hear that spring sound in the package as I unwrapped it.This is indeed a spring tension curtain rod.It is sturdy and a good diameter, so it can probably hold some weight if properly installed.I purchased this for a regular window that is over 63" wide, so I cannot attest to how rust resistant it is or how well it will hold up in a shower. I wasn't looking for that feature.I have yet to use it, so I'm just going off of first impressions, but I will update if there are problems.It's a good purchase for my needs. Based on that, I would recommend this product.

Was looking to mount a window fan into the top of our hallway to blow warm air from the wood stove into a further part of the house. Taking the fan part and trimming 2 circles from the case allowed me to assemble the fan around this and then extend this to fit in the hallway.Worked perfectly to hold a fan so I see no reason it wouldn't hold up to shower use.

I have no ideal how this might work in its advertised function but it is good at blocking hallways to keep a robot vacuum (one that lacks "wall" functions) from straying from its intended area.

Overview:As described.Experience:If you need a shower rod 36" to 63" this is the one, nothing fancy, basic rubber end caps, heavy steel construction, Good spring tension. No complaints in fact better than expected.I am using with stick on cheap rod holders and the combo means it stays put, I don't recommend doing pullups on it but it is really a heavy rod and will not bend easily.

I get it twisted and secured in place, and any touch or pull on it, makes it fall. I didn’t have the screw plates in place as it was being used to hold a piece of garland in a doorway. It was a temporary decoration.

I bought this shower curtain rod since I want curtains over my window blinds to darken my room. I didn't want to put holes on my wall just to install the traditional rods so this is the best option. I chose this rod with a minimum length of 51" since I want stability on my 70" wide window. I could cheap out and get a rod that has a maximum extension of 72" but that rod would start to bend in the middle on the minimum length part. This longer rod will have some material inside the outer thicker part to keep that problem from happening.The grey end pieces are slightly flexible so it can bite on drywall. The inner rod rotates when extending and has a spring inside to keep tension. The chrome looks nice but it will get scratched when using curtains with metal grommets.
