MAX! Wireless heating control pack, white, 131651A0, 1.5 voltsV

I’ve been using the EQ MAX! system now for over six years so here’s a summary of my observations and why I’ve given the system the rating I have.I am using a configuration that MAX! calls the House solution which includes the Max Cube hardware.So, I have eight Rooms with Thermostats, of which seven have radiator valves (one room has two valves) and one ‘room’ has a plug switch that I use to turn the boiler on and off. I don’t have any window switches or an ECO switch.I have never had any problems with the room Thermostats. The 2xAAA batteries last a fair while and are easy to replace without any necessary reconfiguration. 10/10 for the Thermostats.The radiator valves I’m going to give 8/10. Apart from the obvious issue with these valves where the display is upside down due to the way we have our plumbing in the UK, the biggest problem I have had is where the plastic fitting that attaches the valves to the radiator fails.The plastic will obviously get very hot where it touches the radiator and over the six years of use, I’ve had five valves fail where the plastic has just died out and cracked. There is a lot of pressure put on the fitting when the valve closes, and this seems to crack the plastic once it’s dried out.There is also a noticeable ‘whirr’ sound when the valve closes or opens. They are not silent by any means. I’ve got used to the noise and depending on when you want the valve to open (or close) shouldn’t be too intrusive. Don’t forget it will open (or close) automatically when it’s actively controlling the temperature in the room.Again, the 2xAA batteries last a reasonable amount of time with no reconfiguration necessary when they are being replaced.Now, the MAX! Cube. This gets just 2/10 from me.For a start, the EQ Max! software is pretty useless. They have never released improved versions so whilst you CAN control the system (locally and remotely) using their software, it’s feeble to say the least.The BIGGEST issue with the Cube (of which I have now had three) is that it has a tendency to lose its configuration. Maybe not very often but it obviously shouldn’t. All three of the Cubes I have had have done the same, so it wasn’t a hardware fault on specifically any one Cube.Okay, so it loses its configuration. All you need to do is reload it from a backup. Wrong. There is NO backup or restore function for the configuration! That means you have to go around the house adding all the devices (17 in my case) back into the Cube. This might take 30 minutes or so.The NEXT serious issue that crops up after the loss of configuration is that the Cube seems to remember how the devices had been added the first time and if you don’t add them in exactly the same way again, you get a problem where changing the setpoint of a Thermostat in one room affects another! Again, this very same issue has occurred on two of my three Cubes. Doing a factory reset DOES seem to clear the configuration but on adding the devices, if you don’t add them in the correct sequence, you get the ‘interference’ error so the Cube must be remembering part of the configuration.The last issue that I need to mention is that both the Room Thermostats and the radiator valves do occasionally lose their connection to the Cube. I find that just by increasing or decreasing the Thermostat setpoint forces the devices to re-link.Maybe I’m being generous in giving the Cube 2/10 but, when it’s all working, it does control the heating effectively. It just needs ‘fixing’ a lot more often than it should.Hope this honest review from a user with six years of experience with this system is useful.

Ho applicato il sistema MAX! al mio impianto di riscaldamento da un paio di anni e da allora il confort è migliorato tantissimo ottenendo anche un certo risparmio nei consumi: un affare. Per me che abito in una casa "difficile" da riscaldare per via di locali su diversa altezza, con grandi differenze di esposizione, è sbalorditivo: altro che valvole di zona... Sono bastate un po' di testine ed un cube e 1 ora di installazione (fata da me, del tutto a digiuno di conoscenze)Qualche giorno fa ho poi deciso di fare un passo in più nel locale più grande e complesso: aggiungere questo termostato a parete per comandare due diversi termosifoni ed è stata una nuova sorpresa: prezzo eccellente, spedizione rapidissima e prodotto che si è inserito nella rete in un paio di minuti (letteralmente) grazie ad un software veramente ben fatto.Raramente si trova una simile combinazione di qualità totale e prezzi molto ragionevoli.

Me sorprendió porque pensaba que serviría para sustituir mi viejo termostato, pero solo vale si tu caldera tiene el conector especifico, lo cual no se indica en el detalle del producto. Tuve que devolverlo. Por lo demás, si hubiese funcionado parecía de buena calidad.

Facile da installare, senza fili si alimenta con 2xAAA che durano ben più di 2 anni, comunica col sistema EQ-3 e controlla la temperatura del locale in cui è installato comunicando con la valvola del calorifero e con la centralina che imposta le temperature. Indicazione a display della temperatura ambiente molto precisa (0,1°c) oppure della temperatura del set point. Ottimo prodotto.

Das Thermostat funktioniert bei uns einwandfrei. (Nur Themrostat + ein Max-Ventil)Es steuert ein MAX-Ventil an einem (alten) Heizkörper im Wohnzimmer. Die Heizleistung (Vorlauftemperatur und Flussrate) der Heizung ist tendenziell zu hoch eingestellt und die Vorlauftemperatur variiert mit einem Tag und Nachtrhythmus sowie mit sich ändernder Außentemperatur (da Mietwohnung mit Zentralheizung haben wir keinen Einfluss darauf...). Der Heizkörper beinhaltet sehr viel Wasser (alter Heizköper) und ist damit relativ träge. Um es dem System noch etwas schwerer zu machen, befindet sich der Heizkörper so unter der Fensterbank, dass das Ventil selber nicht die Raumtemperatur messen kann, sondern im Heizbetrieb zu warm ist (Heizventil schließt dann zu früh und es dauert ewig bis es war wird). Das große Fenster zeigt nach Süden. Somit sind die Bedingungen für die Steuerungen der Raumtemperatur nicht optimal und sollen durch das Funkthermostat vollbracht werden.Um es kurz zu sagen, nach 2 Tagen Lernzeit hat die Steuerung des Thermostat es geschafft die Temperatur erstaunlich stabil zu steuern. Es stellt eine Temperatur ein, die ca. 0-0.7C über der Soll-Temperatur liegt. Das ist deutlich besser als der klassische Thermostat es hinbekommen hat und aufgrund der Umstände positiv überraschend. Man muss die ersten beiden Tage etwas Geduld mitbringen und darf nicht gleich aufgeben, wenn die Temperatur überschwingt. (In den ersten Stunden war die Temperatur deutlich höher als eingestellt.) Nach dem Anlernen der PI(D?) Regelung wird bei uns die Heizleistung an kalten aber sonnigen Tagen rechtzeitig zurückgefahren, so dass es nicht zu einem Überheizen kommt. Die programmierte Nachtabsenkung ist ebenso kein Problem. MOrgens wird die Temepratur auch schnellstmöglich hoch gefahren (limitiert durch die Heizleistung).Man muss ein paar Punkte beachten:- einen sinnvollen Ort für das Thermostat wählen (keine Außenwand, nicht direkt neben der Heizung, nicht direkt in der Sonne, nicht neben anderen Wärmequellen, nicht in einer Zimmerecke (schlechte Luftzirkulation)) - am besten einen Ort, wo man die richtige Temperatur haben möchte (e.g. Wand neben Sofa)- in den ersten Stunden und Tagen das Thermostat nicht im Ort verändern und nicht zu oft anfassen (Wärme durch Hand kann die Regelung stören)- Wenn es einem in den ersten Stunden zu warm wird, einfach die Solltemperatur niedriger einstellen, bis sich das System einpendelt- Wenn die Regelung nicht klappt einen neuen Ort suchen. Wie gesagt, der Ort darf nicht zu direkt noch zu wenig der Heizung ausgesetzt sein und darf nicht durch andere Quellen in der Temperatur beeinträchtigt werdenDie Installation ist einfach (der Rahmen wird an die Wand gescharaubt oder geklebt und das Thermostat aufgesteck)Das Anlernen ist in wenigen Schritten einfach nach Anleitung durchzuführen.Die Programmierung ist ggf. nicht sofort intuitiv aber eigentlich logisch und machbar. Vergleichbar mit alten digitalen Zeitschaltuhren usw.Die manuelle Bedienung ist sehr einfach und einleuchtend (Plus und Minus Tasten, Tag und Nach-Temperaturvorwahl...)Die Verarbeitungsqualität ist für den Preis positiv überraschend. Ich kann das Thermostat zum steuern der Funkheizkörper empfehlen, wenn die Temperatur am Ventil nicht gut gemessen werden kann. Ich war beim Lesen der Rezessionen vorm Kauf etwas skeptisch, ob eine PI(D?) Regelung, deren Parameter ich nicht einstellen kann unsere doch recht knifflige Heizung steuern kann aber ich bin positiv überrascht und nach den ersten beiden Tagen Skepsis bin ich angetan, wie gut die Regelung die Temperatur mit weniger als einem 1C Schwankung die Temperatur glatt hält.Was das beworbene Einsparpotential ist, kann ich nichts sagen, würde aber nicht viel erwarten, wenn man auch vorher schon die Temperatur (e.g. Nachts) manuell herab geregelt hat. Falls nicht wird die Automatik natürlich helfen. Ansonsten kann das Thermostat keine Wunder verbringen und mit weniger Heizleistung das Zimmer warm machen...

Scendo a tre stelle per problemi continui con le valvole vedi fondo descrizione. Buon prodotto ben fatto ma con il cubo non mi è servito, con app di terze parti si ha la temperatura rilevata dal termostato non precisa ma sufficiente. Comunque merita 5 stelle.AGG Termostato ho cambiato idea adesso ne ho presi uno per camera perché con il freddo si riesce a impostare la temperatura desiderata in ogni singola camera.Valvole: Di valvole ne ho già dovuti sostituire 2, 1 subito mi dava errore f2, l'altro dopo un mese a dato lo stesso errore. comunque sempre valido amazon mi ha fatto la sotituzione senza problemi.Cubo: indispensabile per programmare le valvole e volendo accedere per configurazioni online.Sensore Finestre: non lo ancora montati.AGG. 27-09-2019Una valvola si è bloccata grazie ad amazon che mi ha aperto il resone ho ordinata una nuova valvola plus e questa mi da errore F2 resa subitone ho ordinata una altra arrivata il 29/9 stesso problema F2 reso spero di ripristinare il mio sistema prima dell'inverno05-10-2019finalmente la terza valvola funzionaottimo il servizio amazon ma non so se ricomprerei lo stesso kit visto i vari problemi ripetuti.mantengo tre stelle perche comunque quando funziona va bene
