Grinning Highly Realistic Replica Human Skull Statue Home Décor 6.5x4.25x4.6"

I don't normally go online and order skulls, but I needed this for a birthday party, and couldn't wait until Halloween rolled back around to get any in local stores. Since I was on a time crunch, I found this listing and was pretty impressed by the pictures. But I gotta say when I got it in, it was way above the quality I was expecting. I don't see any lines from casting, and there is a great deal of detail that I was not expecting, even the underside is very well done. Most decorative skulls have weird cuts for the teeth, but this looks very real. The paint is phenomenally well done. Like other reviews said, it's a fair amount smaller than an adult skull. I knew that going in, and it holds true. I'd put the measurements to that of a small child, like 5 or 6. But honestly, that doesn't really take anything from it. It's a great prop in anything pirate or Halloween. As for sturdiness, I can attest to it being VERY sturdy. Fresh out of the box, my daughter dropped it on our concrete floor when I handed it to her. It has a dense plastic hollow sound, and a little give from the material, which is why it bounced a bit when it hit the floor. Overall, for the money, I'd say this is a gem of a find. I will definitely be back for more, and I've already referred a family member, who is really into skulls and Halloween. I can't wait to put this thing in a treasure chest!

Came across this little guy a while back, and threw it into my Wish List for later review. ... But then I placed an order for some other stuff, and the big item didn't count toward the 'free shipping' since it wasn't being shipped from Amazon. So instead of paying $8 and something for shipping, I added this guy and it was only $7 dollars more for the order. But glad I did, because he's really cool. I keep him near my art setup and he fits well. I also use him to hold my glasses when not working, which works quite well. ... I'm glad he's not full or actual size. I don't think I would like it as much if it were. The quality and design is great, and he looks perfect as is, with nice colors and details.

I work in a call center where - bless them - they allow us to have 'flair' on our desks. I figured that this would be a good base for my lucha mask and headset. I didn't read the dimensions of the skull, so it was... a bit smaller than expected. It looks really, really cool (and scare the hell out of my wife when she opened the box, a bonus no matter who you are), it's just really, really small. Too small for lucha mask and/or headset. It actually looks like I decapitated a small child, so not quite the aesthetic that I was aiming for. But it DOES look really good and very realistic. So there's that.

I bought these a week ago and was pleasantly surprised by how well they were made. I was very impressed with how realistic they look, and they're not made of thin plastic. This product was definitely worth the purchase. I was planning to add them to my garden, but they would also be perfect for Halloween!

I like the product that I received, but it doesn't even resemble the product image. Based on images sent by other reviewers, it looks like there are 3 different skulls that you could get when buying this product. There's the one I got, there's another that looks the same but a bit more detailed and painted, and then there's a third one that's really small but REALLY Halloweeny; exaggerated eyebrow shape, bumpy top, etc. This is why I'm giving it 3 stars. I've added more details on my specific skull below though. Negatives: * What I received looks more like an anatomically correct medical model of a skull than a Halloween skull. There's barely any detail staining, it's very smooth and untextured (looks like painted ceramic). * The jaw does NOT attach to the rest of the skull. If the skull is resting on a surface, you can slip the jaw in under it and it will fit in place. But the jaw doesn't lock into place or anything. It cannot be permanently attached to the skull without adding some sort of adhesive or a joint. Positives: * It's VERY realistic, it has a lot of detail. * It's made of some sort of ceramic (I think). It's rock hard, as a skull should be. * It's decent size. It's not adult skull sized, but it's at least teen sized I think. It's about as long as my whole hand with all my fingers spread.

I gave this item five stars based on its workmanship and attention to detail. It wasn't really what i was looking for, but it is partially my fault for not reading the description completely. This is a very "skull" looking skull. I've seen many that don't have proper cheek-bone indentures, that are kind of bulgy, or are otherwise not very "skull-like." The first thing to be aware of is the size: it's dimensions are there, but I totally missed them. This skull is about the size of a toddler's skull. Some people might find that kind of creepy. The other thing to know is that the insides of the eye sockets and - especially - the base are painted to give the effect of viscera. If you were looking for a skull totally devoid of "flesh" then this may not be right for you. If you're looking for an excellent Hallowe'en prop, this skull is awesome and well worth the money.

WARNING In the product description this skull head is listed as 6.5 high, which would make this skull head a large skull, it's not, it's 4.5 high, this makes it a SMALL SKULL. Having said that, it's a nice well made and heavy enough skull for all year round skull decor display. The seller I bought it from was sunshine megastore and they didn't ship out for 12 days so it took 17 days to receive, also the seller had it in a box to big for the skull and it was in a plastic ziplock kind of bag with no padding or bubble wrap at all in the box and the box ( shipped through ups ) was all busted up and partly open when it arrived, it's a miracle it arrived ok and not all broken up.

I have picked up several of these over the months to fashion into some Halloween projects. The skulls are definitely smaller than a full-sized adult type skull. One reviewer likened to child sized... while mildly disturbing, I would have to agree. The material is a hard resin that will not survive dropping or mishandling. Dropping it would undoubtedly break it into a bunch of pieces. But, it can be drilled, filed, or sawed if you are careful. The interior of the cranium is hollow allowing you to install lights or wiring if you are willing to cut the holes since no holes exist to the inside of the skull. Those you would have to make on your own if you were inclined. So for the right price its a pretty good skull with decent coloring and exterior molding that should work for most people straight up out of the box. Plus it does lend itself to modifications should you wish to go that route too.
