Does fox cedar oil have an expiration date? how long will the effectiveness last if i don't open the can until 4 months from date i receive it?

No, we do not have an expiration date. If the can is not opened and is kept at below 100 degrees F, it should last for at least 5 years.

how do you open it? am I supposed to puncture with a screwdriver or open with needle-nose pliers?

Unscrew the lid and puncture the inner seal with a small screwdriver nail, icepick or other sharp tool. The inner seal can then be popped out.

Our oil is very translucent. You can see through it in a clear glass bottle. But the oil is not colorless. It is light brown with a red tint.
