Bought this for a tricky sanding job on a car project but have used this more than I expected. Great little sander - very effective and would highly recommend this.

Works great, I really wish I picked one up sooner

I bought this for the rather silly reason that I had an Amazon gift card, and didn't know what to do with it. I thought I might use it from time to time but, in fact, I use it all the time. I should say from the outset, though, that it's really only a good purchase if you already have Ryobi batteries and charger -- adding those to the price would tip the balance for me.With a coarse belt, it's surprisingly gutsy. I've used it for shaping wood and stripping rust from metal. It makes a huge mess, but what can you expect, with that amount of dust flying around? With a finer belt I've used it for sharpening and reconditioning bladed tools like hatchets, as well as shaping cut-outs in wooden panels. This needs a bit of care, because you can easily carve lumps out accidentally.There are two speed settings, which are quite different. The belt is easy to change, but requires adjustment to make it run straight -- there's a lever for that.My one complaint is that the belt doesn't always come _exactly_ to the edge of the bar. It comes within a half a millimetre or so, with careful adjustment, but not right to the edge. That means that you can't square off a cut-out perfectly -- I find that I need to resort to a hand file for this. I guess for most jobs this little oddity wouldn't be a problem. And maybe you can buy belts that are a mm or two wider -- I did not check.All in all, I expected to use this occasionally, but in fact I use it all the time.

Very impressed with this Ryobi tool. Added to the collection and they all do exactly what they say they will. This has been used a lot since purchase so hopefully it will prove to be great value for the price I paid.

Good narrow belt sander. It has a plate on bottom that belt runs on to keep things staight. Would have been nice to have had same on the top.I broke a 15mm wide wood chizel. Took no time fot it to file broken edge to the first angle on chizel.Good tool that I keep finding more uses for

Great value at $74 on Amazon! Quality is very good and unit is very easy to use and change belts.Only suggestion is it could use a port for a vacuum attachment.

Diese Bandfeile habe ich mir geholt, da ich bei meinem Camper hin und wieder in kleinen Zwischenräumen schleifen muss. Hierzu ist die Bandfeile ganz wunderbar geeignet. Sie lässt sich leicht bedienen und auch das Gewicht ist in meinen Augen relativ gering. Die Bänder lassen sich ohne Probleme wechseln und mittels einer Einstellungsschraube an der Seite lässt sich der Lauf der Bänder einstellen. Die Geschwindigkeit des Bandes lässt sich ebenfalls einstellen. Alles um das Gerät in Betrieb zu nehmen funktioniert sehr intuitiv und problemfrei. Ich habe dieses Gerät nun schon einige Zeit im Einsatz und auch nicht geschont und bisher ist nichts passiert. Die Feile wird nicht besonders warm, selbst bei langer Dauerleistung. Der Grip ist super und die Einsatzmöglichkeiten sind sehr vielfältig. Zuletzt habe ich damit meine Messer geschärft, auch das funktioniert einwandfrei. Besonders Messer mit einer recurve Klinge lassen sich damit optimal schleifen. Viel mehr gibt es zu dem Gerät nicht zu sagen, der Preis ist absolut in Ordnung und ich denke die Feile wird noch lange ein Begleiter an meiner Seite sein. Ich kann das Produkt uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
