Excellent opener
I took this to UK. Same item was 4X the cost of this in uk. I installed it as an exit opener for a gate. It had to be buried 12" deep and about 2' from the driveway. The 100' cord is long enough for my app and it works like a charm. The driveway is on a secluded property and there is a metal fence on the other side and had no interference. I would not recommend this for small properties where the neighbors driveway or roads are close by.

fix for false triggering and water ingress over time
This was a replacement for one that I had installed in 2009. It apparently went bad due to water. I noticed the old one had a small board that hooked between the yellow wire and the black. The new one did not come with one. So I hooked it up per the diagram and it worked fine except I noticed later in the day it was opening without a car there, in fact it was opening all the time. Reading the reviews, I noticed that one customer had the mule co send him a small board that went between the yellow wire and the black. I hooked my old one back up and the gate triggers fine with a car and no false openings. I measured the variable resistor and it is a 500Kohm pot. Mine was adjusted halfway at 250K ohms. So anyone with the falsing problem could get a 500K pot and set it for their own needs, about halfway. The other thing is that these units do not appear to be 100%waterproof. For $120, I want the thing to last a long long time. So I suggest that people use some silicone RTV caulking to seal the little hole that the wire goes into. Even better is to seal the whole unit into a piece of PVC pipe. Check the photos.

As advertised, worked perfectly.
My old one that worked for several years was 50’. I put in the longer one to start opening the gate sooner.

Works perfectly with Gate Expert opener
This seemed a bit pricey to me, but it is very well built and works perfectly, so you get what you pay for. I connected it to a Gatexpert AT1350 sliding gate opener and it works perfectly. The cable is heavy duty and suitable for direct burial, but I put it in PVC conduit anyway to ensure no issues. The hook up is straight forward, just 4 wires. Trenching 12" deep is the hardest part, but that would be necessary for any quality vehicle sensor.

Good but expensive for what it does
Product works fine, nothing super special, expensive for being just a sensor but I guess if you need it then it is what it is. If you have solar only it will need a bigger battery seemed to drain our battery fast, had to upgrade to a car battery.

Opens easily with different vehicles/objects
You couldn’t ask for a better way to open your gate. This picks up different objects easily (car, 4 wheeler and mower) the mower just requires you walk closer to the side when you approach. It was easy to install.

Works, limited range. Don't bury as deep as they suggest.
Range on a 12ft driver, installed per directions. Definlt doesn't trip every time.1 ft depth might not be the best for it.

North Shore Commercial Door did an excellent job in shipping the product to me and I ...
North Shore Commercial Door did an excellent job in shipping the product to me and I received it ahead of the estimated day of delivery. Unfortunately after I installed it, the product did not work. Rather than contact North Shore, I contacted the manufacturer (Gates that Open) directly for troubleshooting and customer service. After spending an hour on the phone with tech support (Mr. Andrew Zubr), we determined that the sensor was faulty and would have to be replaced. I sent Mr Zubr a copy of my invoice from North Shore and he had a replacement on the way to me the next day, he also included a prepaid return label to send the faulty sensor back to GTO. Even in light of the problems I had with the product, I give this review a 5 star rating because of the excellent customer service I received from the manufacturer. GTO does not sell direct, but distributes their products through many different vendors such as North Shore, however they back up their product 100% and have one of the best customer service and tech support divisions of any company with whom I have ever dealt.

Read all reviews, sensitivity all over the place
Had to return it, hooked it all up, was really sensitive gate opened spontaneously, even hooked up a potentiometer as per other reviews and no improvement. Bought the more expensive CP4 sensor and had zero issues. Spend the extra money on a quality sensor save yourself the headache

Nice Addition to the Gates!
Bought this one before I realised there was a wireless option, so this one has to be trenched in, but easy enough if you rent a trencher. I did it by hand. Works great! The instructions say to have it a farther distance out from the gate than the amount of cable it came with, so I just went as far as the cable allows and have had no problems with it. I had to trouble shoot initially because there is an extra wire, not in my instructions, but found a different set online that accounted for it. So far has been working great, nice to just drive up and have the gates open for you.

Needs the sensitivity board included and instructions to install the sensitivity board.
I don't understand why this product comes with the yellow sensitivity wire but the instructions just say to wire it directly to ground which is max sensitivity. Gate will open by itself as many reviews indicate. Just need the little pot board included and the original instructions that include wiring in the pot board and the product is perfect apart from the benefit of installing in a pit which is protected from water as if its buried in the ground eventually water will penetrate the housing.

Way too sensitive....
Installed this as recommended but gates had a mind of their own. Opening and closing.. called help line and they recommended disconnecting the yellow wire. This helped but now you have to drive within 6” of the sensor for it to work. Other people mentioned wiring in a sensor control. Need to find out where to get one of these...

Awesomeish exit sensor
Works awesome, set it up far enough away the gate opens before we get to itUpdated***It’s randomly opening the gate whenever it wants. Need to find out where the other negative reviews are getting the sensor board for it to turn down sensitivity .
