Moroccanoil Treatment Light Hair Oil

This has been my go-to hair oil ever since L’Oréal discontinued the original Elixir oil, and it’s the closest replacement I’ve found. I have fine, waist-length hair, so I need an oil that feels rich and nourishing but actually absorbs into my hair rather than sitting on the surface and weighing everything down. This one does exactly that. I think the formula is a big part of why it works so well for me. It uses cyclomethicone and dimethicone as the main conditioning ingredients, which help smooth the hair, reduce friction, and give it that silky, glossy feel without requiring a heavy concentration of natural oils. It also contains argan oil, which provides fatty acids and antioxidant vitamin E, plus linseed extract for additional conditioning. The result is hair that feels soft, hydrated, smooth, and bouncy without becoming greasy or limp. I only need about one pump for my entire length, which is impressive considering how much hair I have. It also has a lovely, pleasant scent, but thankfully it doesn’t linger overwhelmingly in my hair. That’s important to me because I generally don’t like hair products that leave a strong fragrance behind. It is definitely on the expensive side, but I think that’s fairly typical for a good-quality hair oil, and because I only use one pump at a time, a bottle lasts me months and months. Moroccanoil specifically makes the Light version for fine hair because it has a lighter formulation than the original Treatment. For my fine hair, this is one of the few oils I’ve found that gives me the richness I want without the weight.

This is a repurchase and my first time getting the light variation. I love this hair oil. A little truly goes a long way, even with long hair. I usually put my palm over the top and flip it over and use that amount for my whole head. This works for many hair types, and feels weightless. It helps so much with retaining moisture and shine in my hair, and this teeny little bottle lasts me for years. This is the hair oil that I recommend, and is one of those salon grade oils that is worth spending a little extra on. I have tried numerous Moroccan argan oils on the market, the consistency of this one is truly the most lightweight formulas and never leaves my hair greasy. I love that they came out with a light version, as I am blonde and did not notice any difference in my hair color after applying.

I buy this over and over. I love the lightness of the oil. It’s just right for my ridiculously long, thin hair. I get less tangles throughout the day and my hair stays a nice texture. The shine never quits, and I smell fantastic. I use it before blow drying for heat protection so I can get the brush through for a blowout while avoiding dreaded tangling and stretching.

I have long, fine blonde hair. I apply one pump to my palms, rub together and rub it into my ends. It calms frizz nicely, smooths flyaways, and does not make it greasy. My hair feels healthy and soft. The bottle lasted me two years, using about 2x weekly. I use it alongside the Moroccan oil leave in conditioner after every wash. I’ve been happy with it

The oil itself is 5/5, I have long straight hair that tend to tangle easily, and they look and smell amazing since I'm using this product! I got the tiny bottle "travel format", which actually goes a long way! I'm removing one star though, because but no matter how tight I close it, it leaks when I travel with it...

This is the best shampoo and conditioner for volume and moisturizing your hair. I have really thin hair and was worried it would weigh my hair down but it didn't. I love this stuff. Well worth the price. My husband also uses it to wash and condition his beard. He says it works better than any beard conditioner he has used. We love this stuff.

I originally started using argan oil because my hairstylist recommended applying it daily to the mid-lengths and ends of my hair, just like part of a regular hair care routine. This product is a little more expensive than other brands, but honestly, the quality makes it worth every penny. I’ve already repurchased it around four times. Sometimes I buy the smaller size and transfer it into a larger bottle because I personally find it easier to dispense the exact amount I need. The scent is absolutely amazing. At first, when you apply it, it can feel like it might be heavy, but after a few minutes it absorbs beautifully. My hair never looks greasy or oily — it just looks shiny, healthy, and smooth. I’ve also noticed a big difference in my ends. They stay in great condition, and I haven’t had split ends or damage issues. This has become one of my must-have hair products. Highly recommended — honestly a 20/10 for me.
