Protector Series Single Pistol Case, Small, Black, Hunting Gun Case with Padlock Tabs and Foam Padding, Hard Plastic Pistol Case

I have a few old pistols that were purchased secondhand, so they didn't have a proper case, just a box. The time came to move many of these, and I needed a temporary (legal) way to transport them. These do the trick for very little, and they have a lock hole if you need it. (No lock included) It's cheap and sturdy enough to hold up to a drop, but the plastic is a bit thin and would probably crack from any serious drop or too much weight. This case will not deter a thief with some bolt cutters, or even cutting pliers. The foam is thick enough to protect most pistols from a drop, but it should hold them firmly in place when transporting. The case is on the small size, but should be able to fit most full frame pistols with a under 6" barrel. I've fit full size 1911 and CZ52 pistols in without trouble, with plenty of room for a magazine or two. Overall, a good value.

US Made! How rare is that for plastic stuff?! Awesome quality, typical Plano experience. The case is light weight, handy, has good padding, seals well, and is strong. The molding lines were pretty good for the most part. That's something I've complained about with other purchases and brands. Definitely a tough case and does exactly what it's intended for. Worth the money for sure. I bought two of thse and I'd suggest maybe buying an extra. I'm finding that they can be used for a lot of things. 5 stars. Would buy again, and probably will sooner than I thought.

Great case for the price! For 10 dollars you get exactly what you pay for. It is important to remember that this case is made out of plastic so it isn’t going to be the best case in the world and I don’t think that was their manufacturing intentions either. I easily can store my gun in here and put it up in my closet where it is safer than laying out. The size and weight are perfect for a pistol and then some. The lock ability of the case is functional but it isn’t perfect. If someone really wanted to get into a plastic case, they WILL. Overall, for the price range and quality, this is an easy 5 star. It’s also super portable which I love !

Nice inexpensive case, just not very secure. Good for transport or for storing pistols in a safe. First, you need a specialized or tiny lock as the padlock area is only about 1mm thick on either side. A standard lock will allow you to open the case several inches. Even with a suitable lock, it's a single locking hole, so you can open the latches and pry the opposite side open enough to slide something out. That's without resorting to force, to which this case would not stand up to.

Very good size inside the box, fits my Taurus TX-22, 2 16 bullets mags and a little case with 100 22 LR ammo.

Simple padded case. Works wells for a pistol (small to large frame). Great price too. Has a hole in the latch that you could put a lock through to keep children from opening the case and getting access to your gun. A lot of gun manufactures don't give you a case anymore, so this is a great case for your gun. The gun lock that most gun manufactures provide will fit through the locking hole and let you use it to secure your gun.

Light weight and sturdy

This is a nice light case. The closures and hinges are very good. I found it to be a bit smaller than advertised - as far as the depth was concerned. It does fit a handgun but with a trigger lock, one has to push down quite hard to get it to close. That said, I was able to store my handgun along with 4 mags, so length and width were good. (The gun I am using this for is a Ruger S22 with a 4.5 inch barrel, for anyone who wants to compare.)
