Sena Is A Superior Headset for Half Helmets
The Sena Bluetooth Headsets and Intercom are fantastic. Wind noise even with the half helmet is negligible. The Sena controls are instinctive and very easy to use. I paired two headsets, a Tom Tom GPS, and a SamSung phone in minutes and without an issue. The only problem occured after an initial days use. My spouse's headset would not charge and would not turn on after what should have been sufficient time to fully recharge. I read directions in the manual and performed a "hard" reset using a paperclip tip. The headset immediately came back to life and did not require relinking with my headset. Since that initial reset, it has charged and performed without issues.I was reluctant to purchase the Sena because I had been a Cardio user. The Sena is superior in every way other than distance between intercoms. The Sena is completely line of sight and only reaches about 800-900 yards max. My old Cardio would work close in on hills and curves and in line of site would go out at least a mile.Having said that, The Sena is easier to set up, easier to use, Controls can be operated wearing gloves. Even the FM tuner works well.

Wonderful intercom headset
Have now used them for several months and they work great. Easy to set up and use. The only things that can be worked on, is the noise cancellation. Works best if you keep the mic as close to your mouth as you can, but still hear road and wind noise. I still think they are one of the best half helmet headsets in the market. Highly recommend.

Great device, easy to install, intuitive to use
This BT headset has all of the features I have been looking for - and they work! The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because it doesn't have an option to plug in your personal ear buds for better audio quality. The speakers that it comes with are best for the voice, not so good for music since there is really no base response. Once I verified the unit worked as advertised, I cut the speaker wires and removed the speakers. This is easy to do since the earflaps have zipper access and the speakers are held in place by Velcro. I then soldered on a female 3.5mm headset jack to the Left and Right speaker wires and their grounds, shrunk wrapped the wires, and it is all easily contained in the left earflap. Now I just plugged in my comfortable ear buds tucking the majority of the wire in the left earflap, and tucking enough wire between the helmet shell and foam liner so that the ear buds hang down from the back center of the helmet. Now I just put the helmet on, stick the ear buds in and go. It is great having integrated GPS directions, phone, intercom, and music with no wires running from my body to the bike or iPhone. I use my iPhone5 for GPS, phone, and music with it mounted on my handle bars and plugged into a Karyaken USB power receptacle. As I mentioned, this is a fantastic unit that enhances the ride and simplifies communication with your fellow riders with the intercom ability. I used it in the above mentioned configuration for a week long trip with another rider. We were riding 10 hour days and the battery lasted all day long, just charged it up at night. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't have to plug it in to charge while riding. I have not used the intercom feature with more than one other bike (the week-long trip), but the range on it was good to .25 to .5 miles max. Plenty for bike to bike coordination, and if you get separated by more than that you can always call them on the cell by pressing the phone button and telling Siri to "Call Buddy" ;).Regarding the Mic., I was traveling 75 MPH on the interstate and had several great phone conversations with folks, all of whom were amazed by the audio quality when I told them. In fact, my mother said "I will let you get back on the road" and I had to tell her that I was riding. Of course she said "then hang up the phone and drive!" :)Bottom line, if you don't have one, get one!

Get communication headset
Works well to communicate with other riders. Easy set up and get value for the money. Very comfortable to wear. Very clear no background noiceThe cons - I don’t like how it automatically answers phone calls.

Too much wind noise
Easy to install. Paired easily to Sena20S, unfortunately as others have noted, any speed above 40mph makes this pretty useless. I would think in this day and age audio would be much better

great product
I was a bit timid to purchase something like this for the motorcycle since I ride with half helmets. After purchasing this item and trying it out the first day I really liked it. I ride a Dyna Super Glide with a windshield and very loud pipes. The features of this product are very simple and easy to use while riding and dont distract you like iPods and other devices. I have synchronized the Sena with my smart phone and have enjoyed Pandora, music on the phone, or I just use the FM radio built in to the device. It will support short wave radio as well as GPS navigation via blue tooth. The music played through the headset is good to listen to and is not drowned out by the bike at all. I have used the blue tooth phone call feature and it actually was quite clear on both ends of the conversation. The intercom feature will pick up some of the louder ambient noise and you will hear it through the mic but any conversation trumps it. My lady and I enjoy going out on the bike a lot more often now since we can have a conversation and not have to shout to each other. She will use the navigation functions on her phone and it will give her directions and she can relay them to me. For an intercom headset for half helmets it is quite nice and I just wish I would have bought them earlier. I would recommend buying a double USB cigarette outlet plug in to keep the headsets charging or charged while riding if you do not have 2 cigarette outlets on it. They do come with a charger that will work for cigarette outlets, but the double USB is also nice to charge the smart phone if you are using it for navigation as well during your rides. Highly recommended.
