I have been using the small standard Wire Trimmers that have the multiple size "holes" for many years. I found the old style wire trimmers "hit and miss" since you have to guess what size hole to use for the correct wire. Most of the time it's fine but when stripping thin multi-strand wire - it's a complete pain. Many times I cut the wire when stripping the coating. If it's very this multi-strand - it's almost impossible. These new Self-Adjusting wire strippers work perfectly. I have stripped Copper Romex and multi-strand wire effortlessly.
