We had an old sleeper bed that my mother had to sleep on when visiting. The mattress on it was as expected, sub par to start with, and after many years was pretty worn so we decided to purchase this to help improve the comfort of sleeping on the fold out couch. She had nothing but positive things to say about this and even remarked that it retained some of her body heat so that sleeping on this was more comfortable and warmer than her own bed at home. After we decided to replace the old sleeper with a new one, we still use this to improve the standard mattress that comes with the couch and it helps that too. The only problem we have with this mattress is storing it once mom has gone home. It will not allow you to leave it on the sleeper couch and fold up into the couch because it is too thick. So after racking our brains for a while, the best idea we came up with was to roll it up as tight as possible - use a couple of old belts to wrap around it and hold it in the rolled up state (NOTE: we can't reduce it to less than about 2 feet around when rolled up), then slip a plastic "bag" over the mattress (you may have to purchase one from a company that sells shipping supplies and boxes) and finally store this in a garment box that is normally used for moving. Most of this mattress will fit in one of those but not the whole thing so a second storage box cut shorter can be fitted over the top and with a little work and tape this mattress can be stored protected until next time. Of course, the next issue you may have is finding a space that accommodates this large container so good luck with that. If you have a better idea, please post it so I and others can try it.

Wow this is such an amazing upgrade to the mattress that came with my Raymour and Flanigan sofa bed! I just purchased this Memory Foam Full Size Replacement Sofa Bed Mattress this month, and my sister and nephew have been over twice in the last two weeks! The mattress arrived in two days, so fast and on time. It did have an odor so I aired it out for a couple of days and sprayed some Fabric Refresher from Febreze on the entire Foam Mattress and it did the trick! It is very comfortable indeed and the sofa closes back to its original form. My sister who has terrible back pain loves it so much that she will buy one for her mattress as a topper. I still can’t believe the price! Amazing bargain. I do have to say that when my guest are over I still take out the sofa mattress that it had before to put it underneath the Memory Foam Replacement Sofa Mattress that I bought since I find that it makes it more comfortable although it is not necessary. I have told a couple of people so far and will continue to share of this impressive purchase because I would like others to have happy guest as I do now. It is true that is better to give than to receive! I am giving a comfortable stay to my guest everytime they come over and my heart has nothing but joy. I love this Memory Foam Mattress, great buy! We bought a sofa sleeper and it came with a terrible Serta innerspring 4 inch mattress. Absolutely terrible mattress, I felt the bar and couldn’t get comfortable at all. So I was looking for a mattress thick enough to possibly not feel the bar but more so for the comfort, as long as it was comfortable I’d take feeling the bar any day. I ordered this mattress 2 days ago and it arrived today, unboxing it was a bit of a task but I grunted and made a hilarious show of unboxing it to the amusement of my grandmother. It was vacuumed sealed and as soon as I ripped the packaging and inflated immediately. Let me tell ya, laying on this is a dream compared to the atrocity that came with the sofa, I couldn’t feel the bar, my grandma layed on it and she loved it, same with my mother. AND THATS NOT ALL, it folded up back into the sofa!! I was really worried I’d have to fold it up and store it somewhere other than on the bed, but nope, fit like a glove. If you have a sleeper sofa, get this, buy it now, you will not regret it. The only small downside is the slight odor, though I let it air of for about 8 hours and I’m laying on it now and it’s fine. Definitely need to air it out once you get but seriously not even that big of a deal. Buy. This. Mattress. Edit: I’ve slept on the mattress multiple times now, I’m a bigger woman, I just had a baby so I’m holding onto extra weight. The first couple times I slept on it I couldn’t feel the bar, but after a couple times the bar is definitely still there and still a pain in my ass. I’ve resorted to taking the mattress that came with the bed and putting the foam mattress on top of that to help with that and it’s pretty comfortable. This is still an amazing mattress and if you’re lighter you may not have as big of an issue. Also the smell still isn’t completely gone from the mattress so I’m going to keep it folded out during the week to try to get completely rid of it. The mattress itself is incredibly comfortable, sleeper sofas just suck lol

I bought this in an emergency because Ashley Furniture did not ship my memory foam with the sofa bed I bought for the guest bedroom. My parents were visiting and I needed something in a pinch. I took a risk buying this but based on the reviews I felt pretty confident. I'm so glad I did! I'm not sure if there is a difference in where this is shipped from but my mattress did not have a "strong" chemical smell that some reviewers were complaining about. There was one but it was very slight and if you let it air out a day or so, it should be fine. I put this mattress on top of the cheap, standard one that came from Ashley. It's was about an inch or so too long but it wasn't at all noticeable once you put the sheets on. Otherwise, the measurements were spot on. I ended up with an eight inch mattress with the two stacked. It took away that horrible bouncy feeling that normally comes with sofa beds and ended up being a comfortable queen sized bed. My parents slept on it for a week and said they were perfectly comfortable and they aren't ones to lie to me, believe me. If I had known better, I would not have ordered the original from Ashley and just ordered here. It's basically the same mattress but costs $250 more from the furniture stores. Great price and quality!

We are very happy with our sofa bed mattress. I have slept on it more than once in an emergency and was very pleased with the quality. Unlike our old mattress in which I could feel the springs, this one is thick and soft and I cannot feel the springs through the mattress. I will say this it is a "tight fit" for our very old hand-me-down sofa that was purchased at JCP years ago. It is a little hard to close and the couch fabric, which is stretchy, has to stretch to accommodate the mattress. But it DOES fit, is very comfortable, and was within our budget, which is just what I wanted. This kept us from having to buy a whole new sleeper sofa. Other reviewers were correct that it comes in a much smaller box than expected and slowly expands over a few hours. Mine did not have an unusual odor and was ready to be placed on the bed in just a few hours.

My husband and I decided to make this purchase in an effort to replace our old spring mattress. We didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on a product, so initially I was pleasantly surprised at the cost of the product and the high number of positive reviews. I looked at the pros and the cons of owning the mattress, and the following details my overall purchase experience: Delivery was quick, within 72 hours, and the mattress arrived vacuum-sealed in narrow rectangular packaging that I knew we would not be able to use for re-packaging. I was aware of the possibility of an odor, but was pleasantly surprised that the smell wasn't nearly as bad as I thought. The mattress didn't take long to fluff up after laying it out, and my initial impression was that it was the thickness advertised, and it did in fact fold up to fit inside my sofabed. The lining of the mattress is soft to the touch, and the mattress itself fit within within the dimensions of the bedframe as advertised (We purchased a queen) As for comfort? I was very disappointed. My expectation was that the mattress replacement would do just that: replace the existing spring mattress that my husband and I had already gotten rid of in anticipation of having a new one (our mistake). I can feel the steel supports in the bedframe as easily as if I was laying on a thick stack of blankets. I attempted to fill in spaces with thermal sleeping bags in an effort to lessen the impact of the steel support bar on the mattress's comfort, which did help, but the feel of that steel bar against my rib cage when laying on my side is unmistakable. Surprised and disappointed, I went back to look over the reviews and noticed that many of those who had given the product 4 and 5 stars suggested that this mattress, advertised as a REPLACEMENT MATTRESS, works perfectly as a "mattress topper". Had we kept our original spring mattress I don't know that we would have this issue with discomfort. As it stands, I think it would be in the best interest of the seller to consider advertising this as a mattress topper rather than a full-scale replacement mattress. I find myself frustrated that my guests who I anticipate coming in for the holidays have tried to reassure me that they will bring their own air mattress, when I made this investment with the expectation that my guests would have a comfortable stay without having to sleep on the floor. Given three stars because dimensions, storability, delivery and presentation met expectations, but this product will not be able to be used as a full replacement mattress as advertised, and that is very disappointing.

I purchased over 6 wks ago and just now un packaging due to a move. Recently moved and wanted to utilize my mother’s antique Murphy bed in case someone were to stay over. It basically had old foam inside and not comfortable. Searched Amazon for hide-a-sofa replacements and found this one. Skeptical from some reviews saying mold issues and can’t return because it’s expanded and will not go back in the box. SO GLAD I took a chance from the good reviews!!! It didn’t fit you can see from the first picture but I knew it was going to be a little large. So I unzipped the cover and gauze wrapping carefully and sliced off about 5 inches all the way down with a serrated bread knife. Made a really clean cut with about 3 slices each time to cut through. Wrapped it back and tucked the excess cover in. Fits very snug and is a perfect find! No complaints at all! Shipped quickly and received within about 3-4 days. Unpackaged easily and I let it sit out about 3 days to fully expand. A perfect find and I would buy again!! You can see it all folded up!

We are so glad we took the time to read through the reviews because we were hesitant to buy a new mattress for a vintage sleeper. Our sleeper is a Sears brand from the 70s, it was given to us from some friends as they didn't need it. It had the original mattress in it which surprisingly enough wasn't terrible but you could feel the bars completely. We debated getting an inflatable insert because they are so highly rated but thought our guests would get more support if we just threw this on top of the existing mattress when in use and stored it away when not in use. Well we were pleasantly surprised! We ended up not even needing the original mattress anymore. We've had multiple guests sleep on this for multiple nights and everyone loves it. You can't feel the bar at all, it has held it's shape and is just as easy to fold up into the bed as the original was. Guests: Petite and thin mom, finicky sleeper - said she slept wonderfully and couldn't believe it Overweight father and overweight mother - very overweight, slept together for multiple nights and said the only complaint was that it wasn't a queen, ha, we obviously can't fit a queen in a full size couch. We also slept on it ourselves prior to anyone else and I LOVED it. I'm pregnant and had one of the most comfortable nights sleep, if it wasn't located in the playroom that we use every single day I would probably sleep on it every night!
