Purchased for my daughter after she bought one of these for her pet. It's NOT a small book; it's packed full of important information on raising and training her doggie.

This book goes into detail about everything from puppy to seniors. Gives advice from breeders. Very interesting book. I know a lot about dogs in general but I still learned things & especially about the breed. Loved it! There should be a book like this for all the breeds.

Thoroughly have enjoyed reading this and discovering more in depth information on the breed, history, health complications and general care.The only thing I did not like, is the book is entirely in black and white. All the photos inside have that greyscale "photocopied" look. Took me somewhat by surprise and does make it seem a somewhat cheaper quality.

This is an easy to read and follow guide for Cavaliers. Many good tips and instructions.

I love Cavalier Spaniels and have always wanted to own one. I decided this book was a good start to helping me on the path to deciding for sure that Cavaliers are the right dog for me. This book is laid out so well, it's very organized and comprehensive. I loved the pictures and the helpful links to websites. It was very easy and fun to read and I kept exclaiming "I want this in a dog companion"! Deep down I always knew it but the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Handbook: The Essential Guide to Cavaliers helped seal the deal for me. I am so excited to own one of these dogs one day.

The information is useful, sure, but honestly pretty generic to dogs in general. I want to read a book about my future dog that is a polished and from a trusted source. This book is pretty informal, full of fluff, and poorly edited. I don’t want to be distracted by comma splices and random semicolons when I’m reading anything, especially something I went out of my way to purchase.

I am usually not into "handbooks", but this book is awesome! I thoroughly enjoyed reading it cover to cover. As a pet parent to two Cavalier King Charles Spaniels - it was nice to understand where some of their traits come from, why they do this or that, and their history! The book easy to read and understand. I gleaned information that I didn't know and have many pages marked with sticky notes to refer back to! I appreciated the thoroughness of the book, and the knowledge of the author and her resources. I highly recommend the book and the breed!

Easy to read and enjoyable.

We're picking up our ckcs next week and I wanted to know as much as I could before doing so. This book had so much information and not just from the author, but from other breeders/owners too. So it didn't feel so one sided. And its a book I'll be able to go back to again and again all the way through her life. Highly recommended

Tells you everything you need to know about a cav, plus is full of beautiful pictures, and I just love the way the author has put together a few experienced breeders' point of views, rather than just rambing about one person's ideas. Has been immensely helpful on defining what to feed my pooch, how to train her (we got her as an adult), and how to care after her.

Excellent advice book for anyone any cavalier owner worthwhile investing

It's much longer than the black covered "Cavalier) book, but also contains more information. In fact, very detailed. I've had many canine friends and thought I knew "a bit". However, this breed is somewhat unique and those confidant of their training abilities would still be well advised to invest in both of these.
