I am working on my instrument training and these pads help get information down on paper so read back is always correct. You do not want to be embarrassed with the poor ability to read back some simple instructions, try complex instructions...it is tough. Can’t ifr without em...and yes you can try to do it in foreflight but paper sometimes is so much more handy
