Works great, and keeps the bulb deeper into the dish, than an adaper. All modifiers should adopt this interchangeable mounts.

This speedring insert is of high quality. It looks exactly like the photo advertised, and not at all like the photo provided by the other reviewer. The EZ-Pro softboxes I bought came with the cheap inserts shown by the other reviewer, which was very disappointing and why I bought these. These are great -- as high quality as other speedrings that come with other Fotodiox (non-EZ-Pro) softboxes. I'm very satisfied!

I purchased this product knowing that it was too big for my Paul Buff equipment. I knew I would have to cut a bit off the edge, I had to cut approximately .25 inches to be exact. Once I made the cuts this ring worked great and allowed me to mount my 48" octobox to my Flashpoint Xplor 600. The reason that I only gave this product 3 stars is because the product that I received was not the same item advertised. The Bowens mount is actually plastic and not metal as advertised. Fotodiox should definitely update the images on their product.

Bought a steady light and wanted to try the beauty dish with it. I have Einstein strobes so needed a speedring for my Fotodiox 28" dish. Fits perfectly. Sturdy construction all around win win.

The photo leads one to believe this "insert" is the same casting as those in the other Photodiox, etc., softboxes, yet it is far from the case. A very cheap, pressed, aluminum ring affixes to a just-about-adequate collar. It hardly passes for what is described, and is unlike the picture. It doesn't sufficiently work in the ring properly either, and it's bendy (our was damaged in shipping already, whereas nothing else in the same box was). I think it would be very concerning if used on a heavy softbox. Almost useless.

My speedring insert was everything I had hoped it be, quality was superb one piece ,if you ask me better quality than what I see in picture. Fits perfectly and the larger insert diameter is as described at 5 7/8". perfect match.

I've read that some people received something other than what's represented in the photo.Mine was what I'd seen on this site.I needed it to bridge between a Fotodiox speedlight bracket with a Alien Bee ring.Does the trick and for the price it's what's needed and nothing more. It works and short of having a friend with a metal shop it's exactly what I needed.

Works just fine on a previous softbox I own, FotoDiox EZPRO. I used to be an owner of the alienbees system but recently switch to Godox. Highly recommend this speedring to avoid buying how new softboxes

This is a really solid and thick metal speedring for a bowens mount strobe. I bought this to fit a fotodiox octagon softbox to my interfit studio strobe. Its quite a rugged little adapter and much nicer then the one fotodiox supplied. overall this is a really rugged adapter and holds my 5ft octa in place with no issues.

Great product, but not needed

Qualité semble être convenable, j'en est commander 2 et j'ai pas reçu le même modèle exactement. 1 était conforme à l'imagine et l'autre n'est même pas les mêmes grandeur. Je n'est pas commander la bonne grandeur (mon erreur) mais de ne pas recevoir un double exact. Très décevant pour l'un deux qui était couvert de quelque chose de collant et pas propres. Les produits Fotodiox mon toujours été livré correctement pour les fois précédente.

Received these yesterday, they went straight out to the location we were shooting. One of the inserts was damaged upon arrival, we had to re form the lip with a c-stand so it would function right. That's the main reason for the 3/5 rating. The product isn't as shown in the photos, the Bowens mount is a darker material and has been attached to the insert, hoping it holds up to rigorous work. Placed the insert into a Paul c buff ring, using my old alien bee modifiers with the godox was really a cost saving for me as I don't need to rebuy a bunch of speed rings and modifiers! Overall product does what it needs to, wish the product was like the image and one machined piece, and hadn't arrived dented.
