Trans-DaptPerformance 1113 Oil Filter Relocation System

I fitted this to a 1970 Triumph Spitfire and you can see how it worked out on my YouTube channel - bobeaseshop -. The drain backs on most oil filters will let the filter drain (in facing up) and you will crank your motor and you'll refill your filter before you get oil pressure and that will destroy you motor. Get this and end that problem! It must be plumbed correctly and doing it wrong is easy so pay attention to that.

I've attempted to use other items such as this but never got the to fit well or were poor quality.this one was very well constructed and the connections were very tight (push them all the way down on the barb). A+

Before I begin, I am not using the stock hoses or the barbed adapters. I am using -10AN to NPT fittings and -10AN hose. These are not the problem.The problem is the fact that the oil filter adapter plate doesnt mate to the Volkswagen 1.8L engine out of a 92 Golf that I'm trying to hook it to. The Trans-Dapt site AND the box it came in both say the 1113 is the kit for this engine, so...Trying to get in touch with Trans-Dapt to see if they can do anything about it. If they can, I will revise my review.TL;DR - Kit Dont Fit Specified Engine

I am returning this because of fitting size difference. But I stated in my return comment about not being able to use for diesel I have to correct myself that it's ok for diesel engines not diesel fuel!! Sorry for any misunderstanding. I will be ordering correct item.

I love this kit. The stock oil filter on my 2004 Toyota Tacoma TRD is located way down towards the bottom left of the crankcase of the motor. It's hard to reach, and not easy to remove especially if you do not have a pit to work in. I installed this kit and relocated my filter up into the engine right to the left of the intake manifold. It looks cool and it's so easy to access my filter now.

The fittings felt VERY cheap and I didn't like that they were made in China. The actual surface that the oil filter mates to wasn't even smooth, I had to sand it down a bit.I installed this kit with instructions followed to the letter. Turned engine over and ZERO oil pressure. Your product might have done permanent damage to my engine! Further research online into this specific kit revealed many others with the same exact issue.I checked that none of the lines were pinched or binding anywhere, I had the new mount location at a level LOWER than the stock location, in/out lines were hooked up correctly so none of those could've been the issue. I then removed the kit and checked that the lines weren't clogged and they weren't.Mounted the filter back on the stock location and bam, OIL PRESSURE!!! The only possible reasons for this kit not working in my case are 1. That this kit was defective somehow. 2. That my stock oil pump simply wasn't strong enough to push oil through this kit, in which case this kit is NOT plug and play and would necessitate upgrading my oil pump to a high volume pump.

This kit was what great. With proper use of Teflon thread tape an 4 of the 9/16 hose clamps im running like a champ!

installed it on my fire wall...looks & works great...

It was a great product but unless you have a hoist it is not possible to install as front suspension is in the way
