SYLVANIA H11 SilverStar Ultra Halogen Headlight Bulb, 2 Bulbs

Only lasted 6 months, can not get call back from Sylvania , Amazon will not help $104 for 6 months and a 12 month warranty I’m not happy with either , 2 days later I found out I have wrong email address and the replacement lights have been already shipped , so I felt compelled to to change my review

Item was bought to replace original headlight bulb on drivers side of a 2018 Chevrolet Suburban .. Replacement Bulb when Headlights are on is same brightness as existing passenger side3 bulb. Item purchased are exact replacement bulbs. and their quality appears to be equal or better to original factory OEM .

These are a great choice for headlights. Sylvania makes some good products. This one is one of their higher level headlights. A very nice and clear white light. Great brightness and allows you to see further down road than some of the other headlights out there. I feel like it’s a very nice addition to my car. Feels like expensive bulbs for a great price. Changing my old ones out was fairly easy. Just a tight spot to fit my hand into. But the pop in and lock on just like every other bulb out there. Plus they are $20 cheaper than getting the same ones from my local auto parts store. You won’t be disappointed in this decision.

I noticed how much brighter these bulbs were compared to stock right from the start. Of course, my stock bulbs were about 4 years old so that is a bit unfair to compare them with brand new 4100k bulbs. No, these bulbs will not let you see farther down the road. They will not change the optics of your lens. It is what it is. Also, you will not see much better on the side but whatever light you see it is definitely brighter than stock. I installed them using gloves and when the gloves touched what I thought was a little dirt, I threw them away and put new gloves one. You just have to have gloves when you install these, there is no other way around it. How long are they going to last? I hope at least two years or so. I don't have DRLs and the car is only driven at night about 1,5 hrs/per week on average. These bulbs are only worth buying if they are under 30 per pack. More than that, save your money and buy stock Sylvanias. Amazon had a sale when I bought these and they were well under $30. I know the ZXEs are $52 for a pack. That's just insane if you ask me. Quick update: I bought these lights in March on 2014. I installed them right away using gloves. My spouse drove using these during daytime as well about 40-50% of the time. Today, January 31, 2015 one of the bulbs burnt out. I will maintain my 4 star rating because while only lasting short of two years, these lights got a lot of use. Will I buy them again? Yes, but not at the current price advertised. I paid considerably less when I got them. I think it is worth paying under 30 dollars per pair. More than that...I don't know. One piece of advice I have for anyone. If you own a car that's an extreme pain to replace the light bulbs such as, take wheel out, half the bumper, tons of screws, broken fingers, curses, don't bother with ANY of the "improved" light bulbs. Just buy stock bulbs for 7 dollars each and call it a day.

I bought this pair 5-6 weeks ago when one of my low beams from another brand failed after several years. These Sylvania bulbs are dim, the color is weird. They absolutely do not illuminate well enough to see around corners in residential areas at night, much less deer. I’ve driven at night and on many roads in all conditions, for many many years and have replaced my own bulbs (including LEDs and halogens), but a recent long drive at night left me very concerned. I may have had some eye fatigue, but these low beams seemed to become even dimmer and more peachy brown the further I drove in my 3 hour trip. I think my marker lights were providing better illumination. I had to keep my brights (old Sealights) on to see all the deer near the roadway. When I would switch back to these new Sylvania low beams due to traffic, I found I had to drive 20 miles below the max speed limit, close to the minimum required speed limit to match the extent of these very scary bulbs. Before I purchased these bulbs I did my due diligence. I read reviews, researched brands’ lineups across different platforms . These particular Sylvania halogens promised it all, with warranties to boot. So I made sure to purchase these from the official Sylvania store on Amazon, with the latter being the seller, Prime, etc., refundable, hassle free. But none of that was accurate as I’m nos reading all the nitty gritty fine details. In order for my problem to have been resolved, I needed to have pulled the bulbs back out without a single scratch (heck I scratched one when I was installing), perfect like-new condition, or I would be penalized with fees. Refunds aren’t issued for several days so I would need to go without any headlights in the meantime. This has been so disheartening. So disappointed in Sylvania for selling me such crappy bulbs I’m stuck with until I can shell out more money. Disappointed with Amazon’s return policy in this matter, and disappointed with myself for trusting in these brands and their promises.

I wrote the following post but felt I needed to come back and correct it. After I had made that post, I went to the actual Sylvania store site within Amazon and submitted a complaint. They got back in touch with me by email and requested my proof of purchase. Without me making any demands, they apologized, acknowledged that some problem products slip through the inspection system and sent me a replacement light bulb! I consider that excellent customer service! I have been using their bulbs for years (this one and the next price level down) and have always been pleased with the product. Now I am impressed with their customer service as well! I changed my rating from one star to five! PREVIOUS NEGATIVE POST: I purchased a set of these in December of '25 and the bulb had burned out buy mid-April of '26. These bulbs are too expensive to only last 4 months. They SHOULD last at least a year or two. NOT! And there is not recourse if you buy them on Amazon. Good luck finding someone to help when you buy a bad product.

Compatible w/ 2012 GMC Sierra and crystal clear. Installation was not easy but no fault of these bulbs. Fit perfectly, easy to use and very bright, will buy them again!

I've used Sylvania SilverStars in my vehicles for over a decade, so I thought I knew what I was getting for my money (and they aren't cheap): brighter, more coverage, not that obnoxious to oncoming drivers, and previous sets have literally lasted 5+ years. Well, sadly, I can tell you that these are apparently not the SilverStars of the past. One bulb burned out after maybe 14 months. I replaced that one with the original OEM bulb (still working after 8 years of use). The remaining SilverStar bulb burned out 2-3 months later. So now I'm running both old OEM bulbs again. This brand/model used to be awesome, in my experience. It's a shame that they don't seem to make them like they used to. Maybe I just got a bad set, but browsing the existing reviews makes me think I'm not alone.

Best performing low beam headlight bulb for the 2006 Buick Allure CX 3.8L V6. This is an H11 replacement bulb pair for my low beam headlights. I got about 2 years out of my last pair of the exact same make and model from Sylvania. They provide a good colour rendering index of projected light under all driving conditions including snow ❄️. It projects light really far and clearly for night driving. It is also a good colour temperature for the eyes. It is a little bit challenging to replace the low beam headlight bulb for my vehicle but I have the procedure down pat so it is easier now. I recommend this exact H11 Sylvania bulb as a replacement because you should never skimp or compromise your ability to see clearly when driving at night. It is the best in their lineup of replacement headlight bulbs. Always replace headlight bulbs in pairs!!! I don't recommend LED headlights because they may also throw ECU codes for incompatibility, unless you're certain they won't from the manufacturer. Double check this functional requirement with the manufacturer before purchasing an LED replacement headlight bulb pair. Always replace headlight bulbs in pairs!!!

Only bulbs I use they are awesome and bright without blinding every other car like leds do. Last super long never have had issues

My OEM bulb decided to call it quits, prompting me to give the Sylvania H11 Silverstar Ultra a shot. Verdict? The brightness goes above and beyond, illuminating the night and revealing details I didn't know were there. I attached a picture for you to witness the light for yourself. While I don't have a snapshot of the OEM bulb for a side-by-side, it is obvious to me that these Silverstar Ultras outshine in terms of light volume and crystal-clear vision. Now, the only hiccup is, despite being touted as 'WHITE LIGHT,' it's more of a subtle, cozy glow—maybe around 3000K to a max of 3500K. That is the reason why they do not get a 5-star! At this moment, I do not know how long the bulbs will last. Just hold my hope!

like the brightness over factory bulbs

With winter coming and darker longer nights, I thought I would put in some new Halogen H11 low beam bulbs in my 2015 Chev Silverado 1500 pickup truck. The bulbs are advertised as brighter, white and better than original halogen bulbs. NOT even close!!!! they are yellow and do not light up the road well at all. These are not as bright as the stock Halogen builds that came with the vehicle! so sad. These Ultra bulbs are not impressive at all. And on top of that they are very expensive. I'll be putting my old bulbs back in the truck for now and will be looking into other brands. Very disappointed in these bulbs, maybe it's the coating on the bulb that makes it so wimpy and lack luster!?
