Proverbs: Learning to Live Wisely (LifeGuide Bible Studies)

This helped me through a hard time while I was grieving the loss of my dad. He was my rock!!!! I think it could help anyone.

This study guide uses scriptures by topic and groups them together. A lot of application of the word to a person's life.

Stated on Page 8: "This book is an inductive Bible study, designed to help you discover for yourself what scripture is saying."This book is basically a list of questions about each scripture for the reader to answer. Not for me. I was hoping for a commentary and/ or resources to gain knowledge from biblical scholars.Thankfully the book is inexpensive - not much money wasted.

I'm going through the book with a small study group. It's very thought provoking. I have read through Proverbs a number of times. This book brings out some new ideas for me.

I ordered this book for our Adult Sunday school study group. I had not read Proverbs from start to finish before. This book was an aid in understanding the verses and giving me insight. Most interesting and an excellent study tool.

The author has a tendency to speak down to his readers and get very deep into some subjects. Beginners may be a little intimidated. Some of the subject matter is a little repetitious as well. Please note this is a study on wisdom in Proverbs, not just Proverbs, which means a few verses from different chapters are studied, not a chapter by chapter study.That being said, I believe if God is present, any study can be beneficial, this one included. Our small group has mixed experience levels and we are all growing, learning and being challenged with this study.

Wonderful book.

I love this little book. it is great for small group study or individual study for those who want to study the boooks of the Bible.

I am finding this book exactly right for our church study group. It uses selected parts of Proverbs and asks searching questions. For the less experienced leaders - and for those who have led for some time - it gives useful answers to the questions at the end. Ideal for those who appreciate guidance.
