Awesome product
The Stormtrooper arrived on time and the product is great! The knee joint of the left leg is a little loose but it is not much to complain about, I still absolutely love this figure! I love that it has a holster for the short barrel blaster and he is able to hold both blasters with ease. Of course this figure is BS, so it is not going to have the same range of articulation as Figuarts or MAFEX, but it is a great figure for its price. This figure is part of the Orange line Black Series, and I believe these products have much, MUCH more detail, quality, and dedication put into them than the current Red line BS. I am saying this because the quality of this figure is great for its price. The paint is not sloppy, it stands well, the articulation is as expected for a BS figure, and it really depicts the character well from the movie(s). The Red line BS First Order Stormtrooper that I bought recently from Toys R Us is disappointing. The articulation is even more limited than the Orange line ST and the paint app is VERY DISAPPOINTING, and even the quality and feel of the product seems like it has went down as well. Overall, I love this product and I just wish that the company continued to make these BS figures just like they did in the past.

Insta-classic for all you OT Fans! Must get if you can find it.
I'm giving the Black Series 6" Classic White Stormtrooper 5 stars. I'm rating the product, not the prices from 3rd party sellers. Pros:Great Articulation all throughout. Mold is different from the 6" Blk Srs SandTrooper (abdomen different, as well as utility belt/blaster holdster, and has a non-removable grenade molded into the belt). Nice clean semi-gloss white color. Ankle pivots and dual knee joints, really stable w/o a base! BONUS: "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper" head tilt capabilities. If you are so inclined, you CAN port over the shoulder pauldron and backpack from the Sandtrooper and he'll be "that guy" that didn't make it to work on time and stayed clean... Cons: Arms can't go all the way up to make a "T", legs can't do full splits (but neither could the real ST given the butt armor plate). minor paint QC issues. I was lucky enough to grab this figure direct from Amazon at their listed $22.99 price.. Do not pay those outrageous prices from 3rd parties! and STOP rating this item poorly because of 3rd party sellers. This figure is absolutely a 5 star item... Amazon shipped in their regular cardboard box and arrived mint. No box damage, for those that are worried about keeping it 'carded' but seriously, this is a great figure, it must be opened! For those that want to customize to create a Luke or Han in ST gear: note: the neck ball joint on the ST (and the Sandtrooper) are much larger than the neck ball joint on the Luke Xwing or Han Solo figures.. you will either need to sand down the ST neck ball joint, OR drill the Luke/Han hole larger.... FYI: Xwing Luke's head looks a little tiny on the ST body.. Han's head looks more to scale. Hope this helps ;)

Cream of the crop
This is by far the jewel in the Black Series crown. amazing sculpt and articulation, this is the Stormtrooper we've been waiting for. For people complaining about the re-use of Sandtrooper parts, they WERE almost identical suits, why wouldn't they re-use shared pieces? and they DID resculpt for differences. left knee, Abdomen armor, belt and holster with thermal detonator on the back, True there's still the hole in the back for the sandtrooper backpack, but that's as easy to fix as a bit of filler or glue and drop of white paint. it also received a different paint job, further proof these aren't just yanked off the sandtrooper line before the weather wash and sold as different. if you want to one star for reusing molds, save it for the "Sandtrooper with Gray Shoulder Pauldron" or the inevitable "Sandtrooper with black shoulder Pauldron" as these are identical sandtroopers, just with the shoulder patch receiving a different color. THAT'S reusing a mold even though for army building, it's a great option to have some variety on your squad of Sandtroopers. Also don't 1 star for price, I got it for $22.99 and it's the same high quality figure the scalpers are asking 50 for. it just takes patience to get it at a fair price but that's not the fault of the figure or it's build. and with wave 4 having a stormtrooper re-issue, the price should come down again when the market gets flooded. All in all a great figure that gets a bad rap through no fault of it's own.

It follows the Sandtrooper's succesful steps
The Stormtrooper follows the successful steps of its predecessor for a sure hit on Hasbro's Black Series 6" line up. The only short comings on this figure are the lack of accessories when compared to the Sandtrooper and that lack of this figure at any store (at least for now May 31, 2014). This Stormtrooper is from the Black Series 6" line, as seen on A New Hope, Empire Strike Back and Return of the Jedi. The articulation of this figure is short of awesome, following the Sandtrooper's proven formula: - Ball-jointed head, front-back hinged neck, - ball-hinged shoulders, swivel biceps, - ball-hinged elbows, ball-hinged wrists, - ball-jointed torso, - ball-hinged hips, swivel thighs, - double hinged knees, and hinged-rocker ankles. Hasbro's modelers had taken full advantage of this armored figure to hide the articulation as much as possible. Unfortunately, the armor limits the freedom of moment on those parts as well. However, the foot angles front-back, but swivels inwards-outwards for great stability in action poses. In addition, the figure can angle the wrist inward-outward for posing the figure holding its blaster rifle with both hands. Although, the sculpt on the Stormtrooper is obviously based on the Sandtrooper, there are a few differences: the sculpt of buttons on the abdomen panel and the left knee to name the only two I could spot. This time around this figure has clean white paint job, with some distinctions from the Sandtrooper: the black line on the eyebrows is a bit wider, the black on the chin does not cover fully and the pouches at the side of the belt are white instead. However, there are not as many accessories to complement the Stormtrooper. Besides its blaster pistol, the figure just include a blaster rifle different from the Sandtrooper's. Bottom line, this figure sports the good sculpt, paint and articulation from its predecessor. Army builders love this figure judging how hard it was to get just one. The drop of half a star (must round down) it just that I like the Sandtrooper better because it has more personality and accessories. In all, this is a good figure with some weapons to use for posing for those scenes in the Original Star Wars Trilogy.

Stormtrooper (A New Hope)
This is a great action figure of the Stormtrooper. The body sculpt is nearly identical to the Sandtrooper figure. The differences are the waist armor, left knee pads, and belt. It measures just over 6 inches tall. Accessories: Blaster, and rifle. There is a holster on his belt for the blaster to fit into. Articulation: Ball-jointed and hinged head; ball-hinged shoulders; double-hinged elbows and knees; ball-jointed waist; wrists are ball-hinged, with the right wrist hinging up and down, and the left wrist hinging in and out; hips hinge in, out, forward and backwards; swivel biceps and upper thighs; ankles hinge and roll. He's got a lot of articulation and is very pose-able. The head has great range of movement. The up and down hinge on the right wrist really helps with blaster poses. The shoulders and legs don't move out very far, but as a whole there is tons of pose-ability. Overall, it's a great figure to add to your collection. If you like the Sandtrooper than you'll also like this one. I would definitely recommend getting this if you can find it for a good price, which on Amazon should go for about $22.99.

Great Stormtrooper Figure
I'm not a figure collector. I have a few of certain characters that I really like such as R2D2 and Boba Fett but this is my first real Stormtrooper. I mainly get these to keep by my desk for display despite objections from my wife. I want my figures either cute and comical or realistic looking, this figure would fall into the latter category. This Stormtrooper came well packaged and included two guns, one of which I believe is the E-11 blaster that is the standard Stormtrooper weapon and another one I'm not quite familiar with. The figure looks good. There is a lot of fine detail in the helmet portion specifically but the armor is well molded and adequately painted. It is a matte white finish but it looks good. Another really nice detail is the holster for the E-11 which is molded with lines that make it look very much like leather. It loosely but nicely holds the gun. Regarding the figure articulation, the head rotates and looks up and down. The shoulders are on ball joints, the biceps rotate, the elbows bend, and the wrists rotate and bend. The waist doesn't seem to turn but just below the rib cage rotates and bends back, forward, left and right. The legs rotate on ball joints from the crotch, the thighs rotate, the knees bend, and the feet bend up forward and back as well as left and right. Considering all of the articulation I had a hard time initially setting him in a pose. After getting an idea of all of the movement it became fairly easy to get him to stand on his own in a decent firing position. What I also liked about the articulation was that most of the joints are well hidden with the black suit under the armor. There aren't a lot if any very obvious ball joins sticking out. I'm really happy with this character. I only have the R2D2 from the black series so far and I had some issues with the paint job on that figure. I'm satisfied with everything on this Stormtrooper and for around $24 I can happily and easily recommend this figure.

A Casual Collector's Opinion
Star Wars: The Black Series - Stormtrooper Design - Perfect emulation of the Imperial soldiers from the original trilogy! The Stormtrooper's armor is highly detailed and the figure in general looks great. **Note** No, the belt nor the helmet can be removed. Paint Job - Can vary from figure to figure but the one I received has a good paint job - only some small, hardly noticeable imperfections at the joints that cannot really been seen from more than a foot away. Articulation - As is standard for the Black Series the articulation is very good. However, just like the Clone Trooper, the thigh armor really restricts you from posing the figure in a kneeling or sitting stance. Accessories - The Stormtrooper comes with a blaster pistol and rifle. The inclusion of a holster for the blaster pistol is an incredibly nice touch. However I'm a bit disappointed with the rifle. I won't claim to be an expert on Star Wars Imperial weapons but I've never seen this kind of blaster rifle before and honestly it looks a little hokey (like it was pulled from a $6 generic sci-fi action figure). I would've much rather had the MG-34/MG-42 inspired rifle as seen in the original trilogy films. Additionally, like the Clone Trooper, the left hand does not support the pistol or rifle well - forcing you to either rest it on top of the hand or bend the thumb enough to wrap the hand around it. Overall - This is a great-looking Stormtrooper figure that will look great on any Star Wars fans' desk or shelf. The detail, paint job, and articulation make it a great buy and worth displaying.

Cool but limited poses
I’m not sure about the other versions out there, but this version, as cool as he looks, doesn’t quite have a full range of poses that one gets from Marvel Legends. He’s still cool, so ultimately I’m happy.

Excellent figure
Excellent figure. Nice that it can still be found at a reasonable price. In my opinion sand trooper is even better but this classic look is very appealing too.

Perfect addition to collection
I was worried for a second that I wouldn't be able to acquire this action figure. Had it on my wish list forever ago then it vanished so the second it was brought back I ordered it instantly. Very welcome addition to the dark side of the force of my collection.

Trooper
