Carved White Side Table

When you order this nightstand, it's important to keep in mind that you only paid $50 for it. For a $50 table, it is great. Don't expect to get a super sturdy, high quality table. This table is definitely not meant for heavy use; it is more of a decoration piece. With that said, I think this table is really great for someone who loves the shabby chic look but cannot afford luxury furniture. Based on some of the reviews, I thought the table was going to feel very thin and flimsy, but it is more than I expected. Some negative things about the table are that it rocks a bit if I move it, because the legs are a little uneven and that the drawer pulls out not slides out. Some positive things are the low price, very cute and shabby look, fits a lamp and a few decorations nicely, and that the drawer fits all my necessities: a notepad, pen, lip balm, nail polish remover pads, candy, and hand sanitizer with plenty of room still left. I also like that I can put magazines and books on the bottom shelf. Overall, I LOVE this $50 table, and I give it a thumbs up.

I had been looking for several months for something to put lamps on next to the bed in my guest room. I didn't even care if it had a drawer. I could not find anything at the stores in this price range or even the next highest price range that I liked. I was thrilled ot find this end table on Amazon!It is exactly as pictured. It assembled in 10 minutes or less. Most of the assembly time was removing stickers. It looks so much more expensive than it is! The wood is thin and they are lightweight. If you aren't using this for heavy, heavy use, it is perfect.No complaints only accolades. The two I purchased look beautiful in my guest room alongside a white bed. They hold a standard lamp nicely and you can put something decorative on the bottom shelf. The drawer is perfect for a remote control or glasses.If you have been searching for something like this..........look no more. Just buy this.

I went back on forth on this before finally buying it and I am glad I went for it. It is very attractive in person. It is VERY white. Not an antiqued or off white. A very bright white. I am using it to hold a very heavy plant that is roughly 45 pounds and I have had no issues with stability. There is plenty of space between the bottom shelf and the under side of the drawer ( 18 inches) to display additional items. The drawer does tilt down when you pull it out though as stated in other reviews, so if you will be using this for daily storage that may be an issue. I also read complaints about the antiquing being too symmetrical, and that is also the case, but with the planter on top it isn't visible. I took another customers suggestion and turned the bottom shelf upside down so those lines were not visible which was a good idea. Assembly was very easy, no tools required, everything is labeled and easy to match up. This does look new and not like an antique or anything. But for the size and the price I am happy with it.

I'd like to preface my review by saying that I am a firm believer in reviewing products based on their value for the money and how they compare to similar items. I think it can be a challenge to really decipher which reviews are accurate and which are not, especially since reviewers tend to rate the product at one extreme or the other. I believe this happens sometimes when we judge, for instance, an inexpensive, low-quality vacuum cleaner against a very high-end, expensive one. What reviewers really want to know is: Is this product a good buy? Is another brand better? Or should I spring for a higher-quality one? In my review I aim to compare the product based on the value for the money spent and how it compares to other items of similar value. With that said, here is my review...VALUEFirst off, you really can't beat the price of this item. I have searched high and low for comparable end tables and the least expensive one I could find was almost double the price of this one. If you are a budget-conscious shopper who is looking for a cute low-to-mid quality end table, I don't think you'll find a better deal out there.APPEARANCEAlthough the table is cute and suits my purposes, it is obvious that this is not a high-quality, solid-wood end table. You can tell that from the photos, though. It's obviously made with a low-quality wood and although mine is nowhere close to collapsing, it is not something you'd want to lean all of your weight on. It will hold items on top of it just fine, but it's not like your grandmother's solid wood table that could hold a tap dancing performance on top of it. It is, after all, a $25 end table.My one big visual discrepancy I have about the table is something that another viewer mentioned. This table is supposed to be "shabbied". While I can see that someone made a half-hearted attempt to "shabby" the edges, their efforts to shabby the top of the shelves is just plain pitiful. It looks more like someone spent a couple of minutes scratching a straight line in 3 different places. The top of both shelves looks identical in the scratchings, so it really looks pretty silly. I think they really could have put more effort into this aspect, since it is labeled as a "shabby chic" table. Because I plan on stacking things on the table, I don't care as much as I would if the top of the shelves was constantly visible. I also plan on painting it to pick up an accent color in my shower curtain, so that will solve the problem as well.PROSI like that it has a separate shelf that I can stack towels, books, baskets, or plants on. That comes in handy in my bathroom, where I have placed it. It also looks like you could easily be painted, since the finish is matte. I can't imagine that would be terribly difficult to do.CONSBesides the 3 "chicken scratches" on the top of the shelves, my only other complains are 1. The white paint used on the top of the table seems to be a slightly different white than the bottom half, 2. The small drawer doesn't seem to be on any legitimate track, so, if you pull it out more than halfway, it will just hang there or come out completely. I'm sure there's a way to remedy this myself, but this is another detail I guess I expected to be pretty standard for drawers in general.SO... WHY 4 STARS?Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the product I received for small amount of money spent. It has its unique flaws, that's for sure, but if you are willing to using some creativity and see the potential in it, I really think you'll be satisfied with the product you receive for such a small amount of money. I wasn't "blown away" by the table, but I also don't think I could find anything out there with this much potential for same amount of money. Overall, I'm really fairly pleased!

I bought this table after looking all over in regular and online stores such as Walmart, Target, Wayfair and Overstock. I needed a small table that could hold a few items since I already have a desk and that could accessorize my home office. This table fit the bill perfectly, it is small enough but it doesn't disappear into the room and the white paint has small, decorative dark streaks a la shabby chic which give it an elegant, fancy look. It was very easy to put together. There was only one caveat, the paint had a smell for a few days. I suppose the smell came from the type of paint used, however, like I just mentioned it went away after a few days. It is a pretty, delicate table for a great price.
