Excellent for taking paint off window sills. Very coarse. Dies a great job

Any good on rusty metal?

Not really, this is meant for wood, it would take off the flaky stuff but you would need finer sandpaper to get the metal smooth, and aluminium oxide paper , which is dark red and not green in colour is better for metal..

The grade of this sandpaper is 40's (extra coarse)

Is this suitable for a sanding machine?

Yes this is suitable for a sanding machine with the metal clips at each end . .this sand paper has no grip to attach to sander so ideal to use by hand too. Just tear off what you need and attach to sander with metal clips
