The Deluxe Edition of TOMORROW'S WORLD includes a bonus CD. Review: Excellent - A brave move - It's hard to believe that there are negative reviews, but remember that we're not in the 80s or 90s anymore, and some risks have to be taken in order to move forward as an artist. This includes changing the arrangements and style somewhat, and, of course, that is the case with this album. I didn't know what to expect at first, but the end result is very positive. I will concentrate mainly on reviewing the musical side, disregarding the lyrics because I'm still not familiar with them, apart from a few tracks. The first seconds of the opening track, "Be With You", are an instant hook that will probably lift your spirit on a large measure. The song itself is another epic masterpiece, a new Erasure hymn that is already looking like it's becoming a live classic, as seen on the current tour shows. The sound textures were very appropriately chosen to achieve a "feel good" wall of sound. Think of "I Say, I Say, I Say", because this could perfectly pass as a lost track from that album, rearranged with a modern sound. It's impossible to listen to this tune and remain indifferent. I relate it very closely to "Take Me Back", my favorite Erasure track so far. Yes, there is some deliberate auto-tune, but that doesn't detract a single bit from its excellence. Andy Bell does not need auto-tune, so it comes across as an artistic tool and not like cheating at all; besides, it's used really sparingly and with good judgment. Again, it's suprisingly similar to "Take Me Back" in structure and overall mood, and that is, for me, a good thing. Before you know it, you may feel like singing along to it. The only negative thing one could find is that it lasts less than four minutes, and so playing it twice in succession does some justice. 10/10 "Fill Us With Fire" is a second-tier song, not particularly memorable, but not bad. This is one of those tunes that could really benefit from a heavy remix or a different arrangement. Not sure whose fault is this, but it sort of underachieves. 6/10 "What Will I Say When You Are Gone?" is a slow track that gets progressively better but it's still not good enough. This is the other track that may score as forgettable in the album. I think it's an experiment in mainstream eurocr*p. It doesn't matter anyway, because the positives of the album shadow the negatives. Every Erasure album has a couple of tracks that are not that good, and this is one of them. 6/10 "You've Got To Save Me Right Now" is a soul song performed in an electronic world, which sounds like another experiment that didn't fully work, and the arrangement didn't help with the bass and the opening melody. Not to my particular liking, but I admit it's not bad. Makes you think they probably recognized halfway through recording that it wasn't the strongest song in the album and kept it short of 3 minutes to compensate. 7/10 "A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot" is a song that surely Lady Gaga will notice and undoubtedly copy soon (or has Erasure deliberately copied the great copycat?), because it seems written in that style. The arrangement combines commercial Gaga-esque sound with some electro bits and the mandatory filtering and sound repetitions, finalizing with some lines in French thrown in. Addictive... but smarter than mainstream commercial pop. 9/10 "When I Start To (Break It All Down)" is another lifting track, inducing you to sing along very quickly, only to realize that you will probably won't match Andy Bell's register when reaching the chorus. The arrangement of the first verses has some reminiscence of "The Innocents" (I think that the main synth line uses the same synth sound as "A Little Respect" as well as "Love the Way You Do So" from the "Erasure" album), but the chorus is loaded with new textures, making it sound really nice. You will surely already know this song as it's a single. Very good stuff. 9/10 "I Lose Myself" is like a parallel-universe eurodance relative of "Crown of Thorns" in the musical structure, at least in the verses. It's hard to explain, but it works perfectly and it evolves into a full-fledged energetic dance song. Good stuff, but the bridge could have been a bit better. You would probably play this moving, ambient-filled song while driving a car on a highway. 8/10 "Then I Go Twisting" is a gem. It's a condensed version of modern trance (or trancy eurodance) at its best. Hard to believe that Erasure is actually doing this style, but it works amazingly well. The chorus is just perfect, likely to stir the emotions associated with the genre. A brave move that pays off, although either they or the arranger (Frankmusik) weren't confident enough to develop a full-length 5 or 6 minutes trance song. I think that this is the most significant evolutionary track of the whole album. If they venture farther, in the future, into these realms, it's quite likely that we'll get better iterations, but I might be saying that because I enjoy trance music. 9/10 "Just When I Thought It Was Ending" is a slowly paced track with a sticky chorus line leaning heavily into the sadness conveying mode. The "It's just a matter of time, and only time" part will surely stick in your head long afterwards. I'm quite sure that the synth used in the excellent "Hideaway" solo is used here in the chorus as well, and so it musically bears some connection with that song. 8/10 "Tomorrow's World" is an instrumental track that starts by sounding like a tune hidden in Giorgio Moroder's extensive discography combined with a Yazoo-styled melody, instantly switching to a chiptune sound (think of the exact same sounds of the Nintendo Entertainment System or Famicom, if you will) and then jumping into a Moroder style again (think of "I Feel Loved"), finalizing a four-part structure with a mid-80s italo disco synth melody in what is, for me, a clear tribute to electronic music itself. As such, I think it's fair to give it a 7/10. And so we have four really strong standout songs, one of which I think it's solid gold, as well as the rest of the album which is really easy to listen to and enjoy, over and over again, probably monopolizing your time. Erasure is one of the few bands that are very likely to put you in a positive, feel-good mood, saving yourself from a bad day. That was not fulfilled in the last few albums, but, fortunately, it happened again. Review: Enjoying every last bit. - God only knows how long Erasure will continue to make music but my god I can't get enough. Tomorrow's World is a solid addition to their Discography. Be With You: 10/10. Easily the best track on the album. Glad to see that it is now a single. I will be buying it right after I write this review for all the (I hope) great remixes. Someone else said it but I'll utter it again, the first 14 seconds of this song are amazing. The rest is just as good. So catchy. Lots of emotion in this song, typical Erasure. Fill Us With Fire: 9/10. I really like the lyrics to this song and the music ain't bad either. In fact, it's quite refreshing. It sounds like typical Erasure but at the same time it sounds like no particular song they've ever done. If I had to pick one album it would fit best on besides this one, I'd say Cowboy. What Will I Say When You're Gone?: 9/10. Like the first track this has another a great intro. Some good lyrics all around with a solid bridge/chorus. You Gotta Save Me Right Now: 7/10. This sounds like a song Erasure didn't write. I mean it sounds like something off Other People's Songs. It's not bad...just very retro. A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot: 10/10. This must be the second best track of the album. Reminds me of All This Time Still Falling Out Of Love from Nightbird, but better and that's saying something. Very disco-y and will definitely have your body moving. When I Start To (Break It All Down): 6/10. It's too cookie-cutter for me. By no means a bad song rather just very formulaic. I Lose Myself: 10/10. Yes. Yes. Yes. Great upbeat track. Hooks all over the place. Then I Go Twisting: 6/10. With so many great upbeat tracks on this album it was bound they'd miss on one. Just When I Thought It Was Ending: 10/10. The third best track on the album. This is really a tear-jerker of a song. Very emotionally sung. Tomorrow's World. 10/10. Sure there's only 9 tracks on the album but then there's the second disc with another 8 of remixes/demos/one other new song that I won't go into as I haven't listened to them much. This is easily Erasure's best overall effort since...well their self-titled album all the way back in 95. Yeah, Cowboy, Loveboat, Other People's Songs, Nightbird, and Light At The End of The World are all pretty solid albums but Tomorrow's World I'd put up there with The Circus, Chorus, I Say I Say I Say and Erasure as my top 5 Erasure albums...with of course ISISIS and Erasure still the two best(maybe by anyone). If anything, Tomorrow's World has me really cherishing this band even more if that's possible. I dread the day they stop making new music.

ERASURE IS BACK!!!! AND IN FINE FORM
I have been listening to Erasure for about 25 years and find it astounding that their sound has managed to stay relevant. Electronic music continues to provide us with new great groups that have a retro 80's vibe - CUT COPY, LA ROUX and CHROMEO. There are also 80's pioneers that continue to make music that are true to their origins but also continue to influence today's artists; DEPECHE MODE, THE HUMAN LEAGUE, OMD and SIOUSXIE SIOUX. ERASURE's new album - TOMORROW'S WORLD is an album that has blending their retro vibe that have given them their longevity and updated it with a more intense and edgier beat. Frankmusic has managed to transform the words and music of Andy Bell and Vince Clark by giving their sound a crisp, bombastic vibe. I have always found that ERASURE managed to be slightly ahead of their time - especially with classic cd's such as; ERASURE and I SAY, I SAY, I SAY.....other than those 2 cd's, ERASURE has been lost in the vast changing music world. I am happy to say that they are back, stronger than ever and creating amazing music that will have me listening for years!!! Some stand out tracks for me - A Whole Lotta Love Run Riot, when my partner and I heard this song during their live performance in Toronto - we immediately fell in love. I love the songs build up and continuous groove. I Lose Myself (the next single) is bound to give them strong airplay in North America and if it doesn't than I would have to say that America is losing out by not playing new, original and ground-breaking music. This cd will definitely be one of my favourites of 2011 - A year that has been filled with unoriginal 'bubble pop' music. A very welcome back to ERASURE - I look forward to many singles/remixes from this amazing collection.

Totally addicted - I liked it to begin with and like it more with each time listening. Erasure is the best.

I can't believe that it has now been 4 years since Erasure's last studio album, and if you loved the 'Dance' feel of 'The Light At the End of The World' you are going to love this. 'Tomorrows World' is quite simply a fantastic album, consisting of that classic Erasure sound and yet at the same time it sounds very modern. As mentioned, several of the tracks such as my favourite 'Be With You', 'Fill us with Fire' and 'Then I Go Twisting' a are really dance orientated and wouldn't be out of place in a modern night club. At the other end of the spectrum you have songs like 'You've Got to Save Me Right Now', which was the only new song played live during this years Total Pop Tour. It is a slow powerful song that makes great use of Andy Bell's amazing vocals, not my favourite on the album, but hopefully a grower, since it seems to be the bands favourite. Other great tracks include the fantastic single 'When I Start to Break it all down' and typical Erasure sounding tunes 'What will I say when you are gone?' and 'Just When I thought it was over'. The only negative it the fact that the album only has 9 tracks, giving it a total running time of just over 30mins, probably the shortest album I have ever known. But at least in this double edition you have the second CD to enjoy, with several remixes and demos to enjoy. Ultimately this new Erasure album is fantastic and is something the band can be proud of. I love it.

まさに天にも舞い上がる、得意の爽快なコード進行が素敵すぎる "Full us with fire" ドラマティックで陰影に富んだ " What will I say when you're gone?" 待ってました!の " A whole lotta love run riot" " I Lose Myself" そしてラストトラック "Just I thought it was ending"・・・これは、もう・・・ Vinceの書くこうした抒情的な美しいメロディにはやられっぱなしですね・・・ Andyの歌声が切なく心の底まで響きます。
