I was nervous when I placed this order. We have a Rottweiler, and I was afraid that the large collar was going to be too small, I was also worried about the quality of the leather. This color fit great, we still have room to expand it if we need to do so. I love the handle, b/c I do hold him by his collar sometimes if he makes someone nervous, or if I answer the door and he is beside me, so I love having that handle to grab quickly if I need to. I was worried that the handle would be too big and bother him or get in the way, but it doesn't bother him at all. The quality of the leather seems to be a great quality and is very soft, not stiff at all. Overall our dog seems to really like it and we like it, so as of right now I would buy this collar again in the future.

Fantastic for my German Shepherd. At first, after I tightened the collar to the right tightness around his neck (two fingers under his collar), there were about three or four inches of excess collar sticking out. Other than that, it was perfect. However, within a week or two, the extra piece of collar that had been sticking straight out curled in upon itself. Now, the collar still fits great and the extra amount of leather collar strip tucks and curls quite nicely. The "handle" on top comes in handy when my German Shepherd does not always listen and darts for the front door hoping to get outside. I just have to reach down and grab it the top handle. Grabbing the handle gives you quick and easy access to control my dog of 110 pounds.

Wow, what did they use to finish this leather? The smell is terrible, which is very unfortunate as the collar itself is otherwise excellent. The leather is thick and supple, the workmanship is very nice, and the collar is great - except for the horrible stink. Imagine pouring every solvent one might find in an old garage into a bucket all together and then dipping this once beautiful collar into it - for some reason . . . .I've hung it in the sun (we live in the high desert, we have great sun) and I'm going to give it a chance to air out more. I've already washed it with Dawn dishwashing detergent and hot water and treated it with a leather waterproofing salve yet it still stinks.Made in China.Edit - after about a month hanging in the backyard, in direct sunlight, the collar has finally shed its horrible smell. It is otherwise a very nice piece, and I'm glad to be using it.Next test, what happens when it gets wet?

We have a beautiful German Shepherd female who LOVES walks in the parks, but has a tendency to get a little "antsy" when people approach. Not a biter, but a barker. This collar ensures that she doesn't get away from us - both in our late 60s and she seems to really enjoy wearing the collar. My only grope, albeit a VERY SMALL gripe, is that be careful you get the proper fit for your dog - or there will be "extra" collar. No big deal necessarily, I taped the excess to the rest of the collar and it works fine.

Saint Bernard has his on but you can hardly see it. I just walked him and he has his choke caller around it. The pet artist collar is regal and comes in very handy when you have to grap your dog from jumping on someone or redirecting. Great to start training with! I wish they made it even bigger! He’s 108 at 7 months and no longer fits him. It was a great puppy trainer for a mastiff !

Wanted solid leather collar and this one almost fit the bill. Softer leather, but seems strong enough. I liked the handle a lot. I wish the leather loop to hold excess belt was on other side of the metal leash ring. I also wish there was a separate nametag ring. Size Medium on my black lab fits well on smallest notch. She measures 15in around. Unfortunately returning in favor for a Nylon collar that has a handle also.

Wow! When I got this product, I loved it. It fit my nine month pit bull, who weighs 85 pounds, great! After one week, the handle is already off. This was a poor buy and I would not recommend anyone to purchase this.

I love this collar with the handle! I was impressed by the quality of the product as well as it's appearance. I have two large dogs but wanted to try it for one that's still learning manners and at times he's a runner exploring the world. Before with his old collar he'd wiggle right out. It is so much easier to just grab that handle and control him than him control me. I would highly recommend this product. I'd like to toss in that the price is way more reasonable than the pet store.

This collar has been outside on my step since I bought it. It stinks so bad I couldn't even attempt to put it on my dog. Like a paint thinner smell. I soaked it in cleaner and soaps. It's now still out on my step. I'm hoping after a few more months it will air out, because honestly it's a nice well made collar.

This has been a wonderful collar! I bought this collar to try for PSA Training and it has stood up to everything we thrown at it. It has stretched; but that is expected.My only issue is that I had too put 2 new holes in, easily accomplished

These collars are exactly what I was looking for, and a seem good quality for the price, only I ordered a ‘Medium’ and received ‘Large’ instead, which are much to big for my dogs, even if I tried to modify them. I reached out to the Amazon supplier to question about an exchange, with no response yet. Will not order again until I have confirmation I will receive the appropriate sizing.

I love this collar! Soft leather. Strong leather smell for a day or so.. no problem with anything. Fast delivery awesome product!

Our mastiff is comfortable, collar is strong, good looking and that strap is great for quick redirection. Very satisfied with this purchase.
