Is this a rather firm, snug "gel"? years ago, i had a really good gel case that was pliable enought to bend to snap on, but never showed any cracks!

Yes. It does fit snuggly but it's still very pliable. I have had mine for over a year now and it has not stretched at all and still looks as good as the day I bought it and I figit with it alot... flipping it on and off the phone. It is a great cover.

Can this be used with a screen protector?

Yes. Mine works with no issues with my screen protector.

Not sure... dont use wireless charging
