Worked well on new spuds, but wont break free an old rusted spud
Worked great, but apply too much pressure, and it will round over the tool. It worked for what I needed - worth it.

got the fitting apart in seconds
I tried multiple times to loosed a radiator fitting. Took only seconds with this wrench. Way cheaper than a service call.

Sheared ridges when removing spuds
I know that sheared ridges are a common problem when using this kind of tool, but for me it was made worse by the size of the contact surface on this wrench: I could feel that only about 1/2 inch of the wrench was contacting the ridges inside my radiator spuds. This would be a better tool if each segment were longer, so as to make full contact with the ridges. If you can fit a slip-jaw pliers between the radiator bushing and the union nut, then try that first --- slip-jaw pliers were more effective than the webstone spud wrench. But where you can't fit a pliers, you might as well try this tool. It's worth it if you have one success, since alternatives (cutting out the spud or removing the bushing) are much more difficult and time-consuming.

Works well
Worked getting a 100 year old radiator apart. Works will with a big pipe wrench to get things moving after 100 years of rusting.
