What buttons do you push to get to the conversions like Fahrenheit to Celsius?

First enter the Celsius value you want to convert then the bottom right green button to go from metric and now push R-CM. Now the Fahrenheit temp will show up. Fahrenheit is designed for the human body's safety temperatures that are necessary for your health. Eg "100" degrees is when it is too hot, "0" is when you must use gloves. Celsius is only for water at sea level so you must remember "37.777" for when it is too hot and "17.777" you need gloves. I do not know haw to do negative temperatures on calculator. just realized that know.

Is this a scientific calculator?

not by my interpretation. It's just a simple calculator that Also converts decimal to metric, and vice versa, and it does that very well.

speed miles per hour to kilometers per hour?

The sharp metric converted will cover mile to km as well as well as area, length, volume, weight, etc. it will meet what you need, cheers
