Great for live events
The quality is amazing, I've worked on many live events and every-time the quality and durability of this camera hasn't let me down. Connecting to old-school systems is like magic, literarily no buttons to press when things happen, camera OS is very smart.

Full featured DV camera
The XF-105 is a great camera. The data capture rate, XLR inputs, BNC clock interface, external button controls, and dual CF card media make it an extremely attractive DV camera.

Canon xf105 Review
This is a very awesome camera, but is for the professional. If you are just wanting to shoot grandmas birthday party this camera is not for you. Packed full of professional features namely the BNC SDI & BNG Genlock feature. Duel CF card slots is a big plus along with XLR imputes for pro sound recording. Comes at a hefty price, but will come through for you where you need it most. I am going to be doing a film documentary in Rwanda later this year with this camera.
