NorthStar ATV Boomless Broadcast and Spot Sprayer - 26-Gallon Capacity, 2.2 GPM, 12 Volts

There is recirculation of the water solution in the tank which is not mentioned in the specs? I turn down pressure to 20 psi and this causes recirculation in the tank. It worked for me. This is a peach (great) of a sprayer! I am very pleased. My broadcast spray at 70 psi was about 24 ft.Assemble was simple but a couple of issues:-one motor wire was not connected. Had to remove motor cover to detect and plug in the wire yo the motor.- drain plug leaked thus, required teflon tape, 6 wraps.All else was great, no leaks except as mentioned.Spraying for ticks: CONSIDER: what I do, I did the math per directions. Not a recommendation!-15 oz bifenthrin (7.9%) added to 25 gallons of water and drive 2 MPH on your atv. These amounts are for a 2.2 gallon per minute of broadcast spray.

From some of the reviews I read, I was worried that the item or the box would be damaged during shipping with pieces missing, but I received it intact, I guess my UPS drivers treated it with care. I also received my sprayer the next day after ordering (several days before estimated), which was also a very pleasant surprise. I needed the sprayer to spray herbicides on a 5 acre plantation of newly planted pine trees, so by using the rate per acre (RPA) application rate listed for this unit (in the instruction book), it dispersed the amount of herbicide needed, but the instruction booklet listed the application rate would require 40psi, but this unit would only produce 20psi (with the broadcast sprayer) but the rate of application was correct at the 20psi (but it had me worried). 95% of the chemicals I applied utilized the broadcast sprayer (which worked great), and the hand sprayer also worked, but the pump seemed to loose pressure if the handheld wand was used too long. I'm happy with the product, and glad I bought it!

This sprayer works great BUT we had to make some minor adjustments..which we were expecting after watching YouTube videos. We had to add plummer tape in some fittings so it would Not leak! This is a design problem that a designer should be able to fix in manufacturing. Once tape was used ..This sprayer works perfect!

Absolute junk. Leaks on every connection and I had to use sealing tape on every connection. Even the connections from factory I had to redo because they leaked. The drain plug leaked which caused chemical to get all over my atv because it won’t seal no matter what.

Easy to install and works great. I've sprayed over 250 gallons so far with no issues other than having to initially readjust the pickup tube which wasnt all the way at the bottom of the tank. It took about 10 seconds once I figured out it wasnt spraying. I did add acheap handlebar on/off switch for easier accessibility. I like how the front of the tank is contoured for your back. Would definitely purchase again.

bought this in march 2021 and used 3 times and the pump is shot. I want to think it was bad from the start. I do not recommend this Northstar pump /sprayer. My other sprayer and pump has been in use for over 10 yrs. Too much money invested into this Northstar

The tank and pump seem great. So far no issues and easy to assemble.The switch in the wiring is not durable enough. It only worked for 1 tank full.So keep some wire cutters and a wire nut with you to bypass it when it fails.

After some research I decided to purchase this sprayer to treat 5 acres of wooded hillside. It arrived with some minor shipping damage but Northern Tool took care of it with no questions asked and fast! The sprayer works as advertised and has exceeded my expectations. The wand is the finest I have ever used period end of conversation! The broadcast sprayer is awesome! I would back my ATV into the trees and start spraying as I pulled out and got excellent coverage without the interference I have had in the past with a boom sprayer. I have used it multiple times and it has been trouble free.....I would recommend buying this sprayer!
