Chaco Women's Outcross Evo 1 Hiking Shoe

I was looking for an all terrain water shoe for my trip to Costa Rica and these fit the bill perfectly! My sister and I both wore these shoes almost everyday in many different situations. In waterfalls, hiking in the rain forest, and on atv tours. These were definitely my best and favorite purchase that I made for my trip. They were comfortable and supportive with great traction compared to a traditional water shoes.

I love my Chaco’s sandals and when I found out they made regular shoes, I wanted some. I ordered 1/2 size larger than I normally wear and these were still too short. They were also very uncomfortable. No relation to my Chaco’s sandals, sadly. So disappointed but luckily, they gave me a refund.

I needed a pair of good shoes to use for cave tubing event. I hiked through the forest, walked through a stream and then floated down the river through a cave. They worked much better than any water shoes have (I've done this before and wore just regular water shoes and it was quite painful). great shoes and perfect for the occassion

My favorite shoes right now!! I did have to break them in a bit... there was a spot on the inside of my foot right behind the arch that rubbed at first. It has formed a tiny callus and doesn't hurt anymore. I wear them almost every day to walk my dog, and they fit like a dream now. I love that I can wear them in the rain without having to worry too much. My feet stay mostly clean, but I do occasionally end up with a rock in the shoe. They're easy to slide off and on.

I originally bought the 8 which fit but my heel would slip up and down when walking. I was using these shoes in Costa Rica as a hybrid for water and hiking, so I didn't want to risk blisters. I traded them in for 7 1/2 which fit much more snug but my toes touched the end when walking. All in all, they worked perfect for my trip. I used them as water shoes, hiking shoes and everything in between. They dried quickly when going from water to land and never gave me blisters. I also threw them in the washing machine when I returned from my trip and they came beautiful clean with no damage. Great shoes!

The shoes are comfortable - granted they needed to get worn in so a few blisters were necessary to do that. The negatives outweigh the postives though. The straps allow dirt and debri into the show easily and the footbed holds that dirt and debri. They are difficult to clean. The slighest bit of moisture - water or sweat- and they stink to high heaven. This is the first pair of Chaco brand shoes I have bought (many friends have sandals) and odor is a definite issue. I prefer my Merrel sandals and flip flops for comfort, appearance and quality.

I am sadly disappointed in the Chaco Outcross Evo 1. This is my fifth pair of Chaco shoes. I love them because of their superior arch support, which has contributed greatly to preventing flare ups of plantar fasciitis. Unfortunately, the Outcross Evo has subpar arch support (almost flat) and the fit seemed somewhat small compared to other styles of the same size. Returning for another pair of Outcross Lace Water Shoes.

I love these for kayaking. They keep me from slipping and the water just goes in and out of them . They feel great and look great. I feel like this is the perfect kayaking shoe.

I did not like the fact that they didn’t have traditional shoe laces. Once they are on they fit just fine but they are too tight at the top and very hard to get on need a shoe horn now every time I wear them. Will get a different style next time

Great quality, lightweight, comfortable and let my feet breathe during long shifts at the hospital. Couldn't ask for anything better!
