Strong & Beautiful
I bought this photo album years ago to put photos in from my trip to China. I love it! It is so sturdy and holds all of the photos perfectly!

Large capacity at a great price
It's hard to find a high capacity photo album, but this one not only holds 500, it's also a very nice looking and sturdy album. It is really large, think coffee table size rather than something that's easy to put on a shelf or hold on one's lap, but with 1000 photos from one trip, two 500 albums made more sense for me. It holds three horizontal next to the spine and two vertical on the edge of the page with a narrow memo area between. The plastic is fitted very tightly, almost too tightly when it came to having to remove and rearrange photos, which it stood up to very nicely. The plastic is so smooth and cleanly fitted that the photos show off nicely.

Great photo album for landscape AND selfie photos
I purchased this photo album because of its massive 500-photo storage capacity. It's very sturdy and comes with a clear plastic cover, so I'm not too worried about it breaking over time or getting dirty. The pages are thick and can fit 5 photos on one side. The layout is 3 landscape photos near the binding and 2 portrait photos near the edge of the page. I personally like this album because we live in the age of selfies, so it's nice that I'm able to view them without having to cock my head to the side or flip the album sideways. For those who like to write memos for when and/or where the picture was taken, there is strip of lined space in between the landscape and portrait photo layout to write. It doesn't give you much room, but it's better than nothing.Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The price is decent for such a large capacity photo album.

Great for the price!
its a good photo album, for a good price. It is a material feel, with leather looking material on the black edges. It holds 500 photos. There are two photos which stand up on every page and 3 sideways photos. Also there are top and bottom to hold in the photo, but no edges in the middle of the book, so you have to make sure you don't push the photos in too far or they may get bent in the book. It is a nice sturdy cover. Check the size because I have the cheap bookshelfs and this book sticks out quite a bit. I was expecting that however. It also has a thin strip to write things down the middle. This is great, I love this feature. That being said, it is small small small. You can write one maybe two words if they are short on a line. There are probably 20 or more lines down the page, but its a little annoying. With as many photos as it holds I guess it would be too difficult to put a bigger writing space in. Color is true to form. I am not a huge fan of it, but it was a good deal and worth the price if you take a lot of photos. Also they are all 4x6

A great place for all those photos
Do you have lots of pictures in a box or maybe you are like me and you have many small family albums that have seen better days? Pioneer's high capacity photo album is an aesthetically pleasing and functional storage solution for those errant pictures and disintegrating old albums. The pages are well made and hold three horizontal pictures and two vertical ones, or any combination of smaller pictures. Some of my late 19th and early 20th century pictures are 2.25" x 2.25", so the slots fit two comfortably and hold them in place quite well. Most of my photography is in the digital realm now, but if I come upon more pictures in a box, or tattered album I would most definitely buy another one of these. Now I can see all the pictures I have, even the ones I don't really want to........a mullet with pastel pants and an argyle vest, what was I thinking in the Eighties?

Excellent family albums
I love these albums. The pages are large so you can group together 5 pictures per page, and 10 per spread. I like that there are vertical and horizontal slots on each page.I buy a new one every January and put together all the photos from the previous year. I set some of these out at our wedding for people to look through. They are handsome, sturdy, and durable. I also like that there's space on the binding to write the year. I bought a metallic paint pen and it shows up great against the black. These are heirloom quality. I expect to buy them for years.

Handsome book format but photos fall out of sleeves
I purchased this large archival photo album as a one-stop place to house printed photos from "back in the day." I appreciate the book format and note section on each page. It is easy to put the photos into each sleeve. However, if your photos are smaller than the 4 x 6" size of the sleeve, they very easily fall out from just turning a page. Photos that are 3 1/2 x 5" stay put fairly well, but anything smaller just won't stay in the sleeve. I am going to have to place a small piece of tape on each sleeve so that doesn't happen. Or just abandon the entire photo album and look for something else. Haven't decided yet. So be forewarned.
