Q: Is this jacket packable? We are traveling with carryon luggage only. Thanks!

Yes, but it's bigger than some raincoats to pack. I have packed it while traveling with carry-on only, but it doesn't go into a nice small ball, instead I fold it flat and just lay it over everything, and it seems to work. I have old raincoats that pack into smaller balls, but this coat has a thicker material, which takes up a wee more space, but benefits in far less sweatiness and more comfort. Even so (I always only travel carry-on), this is the second one I've bought of this coat, it's my favorite. I just have to flatten it instead of ball it up :)

Q: what does the material sound like when you move? is it crunchy? subtle? silent? loud?

I do not think it's loud or crunch at all. It is very well made, completely waterproof, comfortable and attractive.

Q: Would a size small be too small for layering for someone 5'2 ad weighs 108 lbs?

I dont believe so as i think they are quite roomy on the sizes.

The lining is polyester. It is a warm and waterproof and great coat!
