Elite ScreensSpectrum 100" Electric Motorized Projector Screen with Multi Aspect Ratio Function, 16:9, Home Theater 8K/4K Ultra HD Ready Projection

We bought this product to pair with an Epson projector. The install was easy to do ourselves (there are three options for install; we chose to do a wall mount), but is a two person job. The picture is clear and even though the ambient space we put the screen in is not movie-theater-level-pitch-black we are still able to see very well. The remote for lowering the projector up and down is also very easy to use. Great product.

I don't often write product reviews but when I find a good product with great technical service I'm happy to let others know. My Spectrum 100 in. 16:9 screen arrived in 2 days, as advertised, and neither the packaging or the screen were damaged. Everything that one should need to mount the screen directly to the wall or to the ceiling is included in the package. I mounted mine to the ceiling, plugged it in and it worked great. The picture quality is outstanding.Now for the excellent tech service:Although the screen worked well, I had two modifications that I wanted to make. First, I didn't have a 12V trigger output on my projector and I the last thing I needed was another remote to keep up with so I wanted to mount a regular lighting wall switch in a convenient location to control the screen. Elite Screens sells an RJ-45 In-Wall Module (ZIW-Module) so that you can use an Ethernet network cable to extend from the screen to the wall switch location. All the ZIW-Module does is provide a female RJ-45 connector with the correct 3 wires to connect to a standard 3-way wall switch to control the screen. I didn't want to pay for the module or wait for it to be delivered so I called Elite Screens tech service to see if they would provide me with the RJ-45 pin-out assignments so I could make my own extension. Fifteen minutes after my call I had an email with the color coding for their RJ-45 connections. I crimped an RJ-45 connector on one end of a Cat-5 cable and used the correct 3 wires on the other end to connect to a standard $4.95 3-way light switch. I now have a wall switch that controls my screen.The second modification that I needed to make was to reduce the black masking at the top of the screen from the standard 8 inches to 2 inches so that the folks in the back row could see over the front row. A second call to tech service (no waiting on the phone on either call) provided a second email with instructions for adjusting the Top Black Masking. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and now my screen stops every time with the 2 in. top masking that I needed. Please note: The screen adjustment requires an Allen Wrench and the adjustment switch is covered with a sticker which states that removing the sticker will void your warranty. However, tech service assured me that since I had documentation that Elite Screens had provided me with the adjustment instructions that my warranty would not be voided. Be careful that you properly identify the DOWN adjustment switch and that you make the adjustments in the correct direction.

The screen is nice and works well. However the remote is a struggle to say the least. It barely responds and even when it does work sometimes nothing happens.

So far, I'm very happy with this screen. I was torn between this version and the one that had tension wires due to some reviews reporting excessive curling on the edges. While my screen had some curling at first, after leaving it down for a few hours, it seemed to flatten out nicely. Some of the reviews also mentioned "memory lines," and the screen actually came with a sheet discussing them and that they fade after leaving the screen down for a while to stretch out, but when I lowered mine the first time I didn't notice this at all on mine.The motor is very quiet (although could be slightly faster), the construction seems to be solid, and the 12V trigger input works perfectly with my projector. I'm very happy with the professional look and feel this product brought to my conference room projector installation.One review mentioned the fact that the RJ45 port for the wall remote or 12V trigger input was on the bottom rather than the top. This is true, and I agree with that reviewer: it would've been nice had that been on the top side with the power. It's not a big deal, but to me it would've made more sense on top since you're likely going to run both power and trigger in the same direction (in my case, up). I don't feel strongly enough about it to knock a star off of my review, though.I did put a large label across the screen indicating that it was a motorized screen that automatically lowers and raises with the projector power on/off. This is in a shared conference room, and it would only be a matter of time until someone tried to yank the screen down manually. Not sure if this would hurt it or not, but better safe with the warning label.Overall, I think this is a great screen for the money and would definitely buy it again.

Bought the 100” screen and the shipment was quick, the packaging was very secure and the product was well protected during shipment. There was a minor bend in the casing on the backside, possibly from the factory as the packaging likely wouldn’t have allowed that. This is hidden from sight and is a non issue.Screen operates smoothly and the motor is fairly quiet. Screen has performed very well so far and picture quality is fantastic.Install was easy and I hung and secured it by myself. I suggest having a helper but it’s completely possible to mount it by yourself if you set yourself up properly.Overall happy with the product and the value is very good for the price when compared to other products.

I bought this to replace my old screen (not an Elite Screens screen) that had stopped working. This is a smaller screen than my old one so, installation was a bit more challenging (I probably could have gone with the 110" screen but I could not justify doubling the price for less than 5% increase in screen size).After fiddling with this for a bit, we finally had mounted the screen to the wall and after a minor adjustment to the projector, we were good to go.Have to say the picture quality is much better than my old screen and picture was definitely brighter. The motor is fairly quiet and works smoothly. Everybody is enjoying the new screen!A couple of negatives - they are not with the product but with the installation. The installation requires two people as you have to screw the screen to the wall - my old screen had mounts that you screwed to the wall and attached the screen to the mounts (this made is a one person job). The screws provided were terrible - the screw holes on the screen were bigger than the screw head so I had to use washers (glad I had some) and the screw head is a Phillips head which strips (and did strip) easily (I ended up using a Robertson screw to complete the installation).All in all, I've had this screen for a little over a week and it is working great.
