My favorite travel buddy!
If I'm packing clothes to go anywhere, my travel steamer comes too. I have the Jiffy full-size steamer at home (which I purchased after seeing the brand in dressing rooms of several of my favorite stores), and was anxious to see if the hand held one delivered the same great results. It works perfectly for getting clothes ready to wear after they have been inside luggage and makes it possible to skip the tremendous hassle of ironing or using a costly hotel pressing service. The steamer starts working very quickly upon filling it up and plugging it in (it's ready to use within 90 seconds.) It's powerful and doesn't require several movements over one area to remove wrinkles. Just to keep your expectations in check, this travel model doesn't necessarily replace a full ironing or pressing job. I always steam clothes fully before packing them, and use the travel steamer for wrinkled "spot treatments" after unpacking. The part that emits the steam is not very wide, so doing a whole outfit takes some time. Also, it doesn't hold a whole lot of water, so you may have to refill before you're done (I can usually do 3-5 pieces before needing a refill.) Additionally, I've had a few mishaps where my steamer has "coughed" water and left a big wet spot because you do have to hold it upright at all times. And the only minor inconvenience is that it does not have an on/off switch and is powered by the plug only. This is a very solid investment which takes up about the same amount of space as a hair dryer. It is perfect for long or short trips.

This little steamer works great, and is made in the USA!
I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Jiffy ESTEAM, the first steamer I've ever purchased, was made in the USA! Despite having a smaller reservoir, the compact size makes it easier to store than full-size/pro steamers. As a travel steamer, it won't fit in my garment bag and might be pushing it in less than the largest carry-on. After filling with reverse osmosis purified water and plugging it in for the first time (my thought was less calcium scale buildup) the little Jiffy started steaming in 2-3 minutes. I used a clothes brush to remove dust and lint, then proceeded to steam 7 sport coats and 6 pairs of slacks. It works great on wool, smoothing out wrinkles with minimal effort. I wasn't able to get 100% of the wrinkles out of linen, but I saw such a marked improvement that I know I can wear linen garments more frequently now. I refilled the reservoir about 4 times and the whole exercise took me a little over an hour. To me, this is much safer and easier than ironing as I don't have to worry about damaging the fabric or creating creases where they were never intended. I'm confident that the combination of this steamer and a good clothes brush means I won't need to take my suits or slacks to the dry cleaners as often. I'm very satisfied, as getting this much stuff dry cleaned costs me almost $100! Highly recommended.

Probably the best travel steamer
I have been using this Jiffy travel steamer for over 20 years. It's the best as I have tried others in the past. What I don't like is that no matter how frequently or often you use it, eventually it will fail and you'll end up having to purchase a new one. I must have purchased five in all these years. Twice the heating element blew and it started smoking and my latest episode is that the boiling water was overflowing out of the canister and water was everywhere all over the floor every time I steamed my clothing. My first steamer stopped working when I checked my steamer in my suitcase one year, which I will never do that again as the banging of the bag caused it to stop working. I now pack it in my carry on. I take care of my steamer for it to last, but eventually the unit just gets old and it's time to order a new one. I even contacted Jiffy to see if I could send it in for repair and they advised against it. It's not too cheap, but I do get my money's worth. I have recommended this to so many people and wished I could have gotten a commission on the steamers I've sold for Jiffy! You won't be disappointed in the steaming capabilities, but it's a bummer when you have to invest another $75 for another unit when your current one has seen its last days.

Powerful; not pretty
tld;dr Ugly as sin, but works better and faster than bigger reservoir-based steamers. I'm lazy. I can rarely be bothered to get to the basement to get the clothes out of the dryer right as the cycle finished, nor can I be bothered to iron. As a youngish-professional however, I need to not show up to work looking like I just rolled out of bed (which I often have, to be honest). To combat my sloth-ish tendencies, my wife bought be a standing steamer from the thrift store a few years back. It quickly became an indispensable part of my work-prep workflow. Shower, steam, breakfast, car. I was heartbroken about a week about when my standing steamer gave up the ghost, especially since I had a basket full of wrinkled clothes and work the next morning (Protip: Downy Wrinkle Releaser is your friend. Know it, love it) I needed a new steamer and decided to get a portable one as the standing steamer took up too much space in my home office and also ended up with moldy water as I am also too lazy to drain the steamer after each use. I read several reviews and the Jiffy ESTEAM was the model that seems like the best best. The ESTEAM arrived a few days later. As the pictures and reviews had suggested, this thing is not attractive. It looks like the child of East German designers. It however works like a charm. It heats quickly and puts out strong gusts of steam that immediately eliminate wrinkles, and does this without any water sputter like my old standing steamer did. The design is dead simple - it's basically a plug-in tea kettle with four holes in the top to release steam. Because it is so simple, I anticipate having far fewer problems with it than I did my standing steamer. It is not large, but also not small, so while I am sure it will travel with me for both business and pleasure, it will also take up more room in my luggage than other handheld steamers. I am pleased; the ESTEAM is almost perfect. 1 star deduction for the Soviet-inspired design and the size. If you're mainly using this at home, it is a sure bet.

Don’t buy.
Terrible. I thought it was going to be fine. I liked that it was easy to hold and not heavy. It steamed my clothes well, that is, until it was past my return window. Now the water just spurts out of the holes and gets the fabric, and floor, all wet. Definitely not worth the price tag.

Expensive but I recommend
The BEST steamer out there! It is expensive, and there are definitely cheaper options, but this one does the job right and will last for a while. It is easy to refill (I use regular water, but it is recommended to use distilled water for best results). The cord it super long, which is great. It does spit a bit, but no more than any other steamer. It is safe, and I have never worried about burning myself with it. I recommend!

Best hand held steamer I have ever used or owned.
Favorite hand held steamer ever. I have tried many of these and this one was immediately the best for size, look, quality, ease of use, and best working steamer I’ve used. It doesn’t spit a bunch of water out, works well and quickly, easy to hold and use inside and outside of clothing, bedding, drapes and anything else you want to smooth wrinkles from. I don’t even own an iron anymore! This is a must have item.

Great steamer
I bought this steamer to replace the previous Esteam steamer I had for over ten years. I originally bought this steamer because of the great reviews it had received many years ago. I can tell you that this steamer hasn't changed one bit over all this time. It's still great in every respect! The plastic feels super strong and durable and it heats up within a couple of minutes. Even though it says you can use tap water, I only use distilled water to avoid mineral stains on the clothes and damage to the steamer. Keep in mind that this is a compact travel steamer, so it doesn't disperse steam over a wide area like the Esteam larger models. Even though I don't use it for travel, It is more than sufficient for the volume of clothes I am steaming at one time. Generally speaking, I am steaming about three men's sport coats at a time, so one filling of water will usually get me through all three garments. What I like about the small size is that I don't have to wait long for the steam to be produced, especially when I have to refill due to additional garments. Steaming is a great way to sterilize clothes from moths and their eggs, which is why I have been steaming all the thrifted wool garments I purchase as well. I haven't used any other brands to give a comparison, but I never felt the need to purchase anything else. I can only say that the Esteam steamer feels more solid when compared to other units I looked at in the store. I would definitely recommend this product.

Highly recommended!
This steamer might take 2 minutes to heat up, but it's highly effective and worth the wait. It also takes time to cool down, so you need to plan ahead when you use this. It's highly effective on light-weight materials like silk, thin polyester, and light jersey cottons. However, with dress pants and jeans, I needed to spend more time with it. Not a problem, as it is not meant to be a steamer that is used in factories or dry cleaners. It's for personal use, and does a great job at it. Highly recommend it.

Definitivamente decepcionado del producto.
Pésima calidad de materiales, tarda mucho en desarrugar la ropa, la mezclilla de plano no la desarrugar. La carga de agua que le cabe solo alcanza para dos prendas máximo.

Effective and durable
I used to have a large Rowenta for steaming suits and dress pants (and my wife's dresses/blouses as needed) and bought the ESTEAM for travel. But when I started having trouble with the Rowenta steamer, I started using the ESTEAM all the time...and it is still going 10 years later. I bought this one for my daughter and her husband and will replace mine when it finally gives up.
