I have been looking for something to put in-line to control my lights Alexa, and this fit the bill perfectly. I had this up and running within 30 minutes. My only gripe for it is that there isn't a built-in connector for the earth cable, so you have to make a joint for earth out of this box.I now have outside garden lights (note this isn't waterproof but fits nicely in an outdoor box), that I can control both using a timer, an app on my phone or using Alexa

Very good product that can turn any wired appliance into a smart device. It can be tricky to set up initially, as you need to cut and strip back some wiring. However, I have never attempted something like this before and followed the basic instructions and had it set up and working within 10 minutes. I used it to turn a bedside lamp into a device that I can now turn on and off with my phone or by using the "ok Google" command. Integrates perfectly with Google assistant. Worth noting that you do need a pair of pliers which can also cut/strip wiring. Also, a small flat head screw driver is needed to tighten the wiring into the device

Another great product from Meross.I bought two of their smart plugs and was looking for a WiFi 'in-line' switch to automate a couple of lamps in my dining room.Firstly, really impressed with the product presentation. Packed in appropriate cardboard packaging and came with a very easy set of instructions to follow.In the simplest terms, remove the end covers, cut your lamp cord, wire the plug end into the Input side and wire the lamp into the output side then attach the covers securely with the screws provided.Product could be smaller, but it is a 10A rated unit so size reflects that.

Being from the uk most older houses have no neutral at the switch which means smart light switches won’t work. I spoke to someone at merros who suggested one of these instead and it works brilliantly installed it in the ceiling above the light easy to install and use

This wireless switch is super simple to set up and connection to the wireless router is extremely easy. Features are great were you have auto time off and a schedule to switch on and off by day and time. Sometimes you have to reset the whole thing cause it loses connectivity to the wifi which makes it a bit unreliable.

I think there should be an earth connection incase the need arises
