I recently purchased the BG Platinum 44K Fuel System Cleaner and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. I had heard about and read about this product and because I felt my car was showing signs of sluggishness I thought I would give this a try - especially based on all the reviews I read. For background: my car is a 2013 Honda CRV-LX (AWD), in great condition and has approx. 156k miles. I had noticed my gas mileage seemed to have decreased and there was also some notable sluggishness. My vehicle has an ECON mode, which is the mode I usually drive with. To test this product out I used it when my tank was (very) low - I added it and then filled up at a Top Tier gas station. I first tested it with the ECON mode enabled. It took about 50-60 miles of driving until I noticed a distinct increase in peppiness. I made sure to drive under both ‘normal’ conditions as well as under some “spirited” driving conditions. Once I had driven 100 miles I turned the ECON mode off to drive the next 100 miles. The improved peppiness I felt with the ECON mode enabled was even more noticeable when I turned it off. Additionally, there was a noticeable smoothness in shifting gears (it’s an automatic, so the gear shift is auto, but it was definitely smoother shfiting from one gear to the next). After having driven it the second 100 miles I switched the ECON made back on and have driven another ~75 miles. Overall the car just feels more responsive and smoother running - to the point that it is actually pretty noticeable. I can’t really attest to whether gas mileage increased or not but some of the driving I did was “spirited” (I read that term in one of the reviews!) which meant harder/quicker acceleration, revving the engine more, etc. - conditions that I wouldn’t ordinarily do and which probably dropped the MPG some, so it makes it difficult to compare. The stuff is expensive but it only needs to be used every 5-10k miles. It is easy to use - just pour it right in the gas tank (may need to use a funnel) but do so when the tank is very close to empty… and continue driving until the tank is near empty again before filling up. Overall I am surprisingly impressed!

In all the products I have ever used, this is way up there. I tried several types of injector Cleaners, this literally ended my problem, it was like putting a new engine in my truck. I turned my friends on and the feedback is incredible. Follow the instructions, I had an empty tank, put the can in and put 15 gallons of fuel on top of it and didn't add more fuel till my tank was empty. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

More than one mechanic told me to use this to prep my car for a Ca. emissions test. I also had some clogged fuel injectors which this stff cleaned right up. I noticed increased performance and a few mpg.

Used this at 50k after the dealership performed an "fuel delivery system cleaning". My mpg is gone up a little bit and the engine sounds and runs like it did after the dealership thing.

This stuff really does work fast. I took a trip to DFW and put it on a full tank before I left for my trip. My previous trip I noticed I was getting poor fuel mileage in my 2023 Tundra non-hybrid. I averaged 13-14 mag my last trip. This recent trip 17.6 mpg. When I first bought my truck I was getting 22-25 on the highway. I put another can on the way back home. I hope it continues to clean up the carbon buildup. Throttle response was noticeable too. It felt more responsive when I needed to put my foot on the pedal for acceleration. My only complaint for myself was opening the can. I just used my bottle opener to lift the key up.

aplique este producto a medidados de abril, a mi chevrolet colorado 2008(con casi 300 mil kilometros) con el tanque lleno, la use sin recargar hasta que quedo 1/4 de gasolina en el tanque, despues fui a hacer cambio de aceite por que ya tocaba y me tope que el aceite salio super cochino(aceite de 2000 km) la bandeja en la que lo vacie estaba limpia pero al fondo encontramos muchos pedacitos de carbon algunos grandecitos y otros chicos pero era bastante, al principio me asuste pense que era rebaba metalica del motor pero ya cuando lo toque vi que la textura era de carbon indicando que en efecto hizo bastante bien su trabajo, volvere a aplicar otro BG44k a mi camioneta probablemente antes del siguiente cambio de aceite para asegurar que el aceite nuevo este limpio PS se notan ligerios cambios en el motor asi como la estabiliadad de las RPM tambien al acelerar es mas consistente

I have used their BG 245 diesel cleaner before and I could feel the difference in the responsiveness on my insignia diesel within 30 min it was quite a dramatic difference you could feel it responding quicker, pulling more and you could hear a improvement in the sound of the exhaust, So when I recently bought a second hand petrol sports car one of the first things I did was to order some BG 44k Platinum (along with servicing it) and all tho the results were not as immediately noticeable as the diesel cleaner was for me (I think the insignia really needed it) It did feel and sound much smoother after getting through half a tank of it. I would highly recommend using this if you fail a MOT due to high emissions or before an MOT if your emissions were high on your previous MOT. The instructions say to mix this with a full tank of petrol but I found better results when using with slightly over half a tank (I don't know if this is risky or not.. but it has worked well for me on both petrol and diesel variants). Make sure you have a funnel ready because you will need one unless you want to start cutting bottles in half. I would advise using rubber/latex gloves when using this as it has a tenancy to splash when opening and if you read the health warnings on the back you will know you don't want to get this anywhere on you!, Loosen the ring pull first with a flat head screwdriver or swiss army knife as it is gripped down with metal spots, And I know this sounds extra but I would recommend using safety glasses, god knows what this stuff would do to your eyes! honestly its strong and very hazardous I feel bad for the cars behind me..
