Best Roller frame I have used so far
I would not say I am a professional painter but I do paint quite often and have a pretty good understanding of the tools used and having used many different roller frames in the past this one really surprised me with how well it works. Biggest issue for me with roller frames is they have to grip the roller cover so it does not shift in the frame but not grip it so well you can’t remove it when your done. Over the years I had experience with both of these conditions with roller frames and it makes for a frustrating experience. This roller frame has solved that issue for me as it walks the line well, gripping the cover during painting but not so much that a slight tug releases it from the frame when your done. Also the bearings are really smooth and the cage rolls well on the frame. Cleanup is very easy as well. Frame is a little on the heavy side but I actually prefer that as it does not flex when on the end of a long poll. Made in the USA is great as well. Wooster has a great product here and the price is really fair for what your getting. Highly recommend. If you found this review helpful please hit the helpful button below. Read this if ur a DIYer
Speaking to the DIYers and us non-pro painters- this is the BEST roller handle you can buy! You know the part when you have to pull the roller off of the handle when you’re finished painting, how it’s always a big mess? Well, this handle allows the roller to slip on extremely easily and then it locks in just at the very end, so getting the roller cover off of this thing is a breeze. Sure you can spend a dollar or two less, but don’t lose the plot! Make your project easier! Thankfully we have Wooster brush, made here in America. Paint supplies made in America with exceptional quality, thoughtful design, and ease of use! Gold star for Wooster!

Great Roller Frame!
First a disclosure: I am not a professional painter (not even semi-pro). That being said, I wish that I'd purchased one of these a long time ago. As far as roller frames go, this product is the best I've come across.Roller covers slide on easily, stay on throughout the duration of the job, and pop off with minimal fuss, all thanks to the metal spring fingers near the closed end of the frame. The body of the roller is made of a hard plastic framework that (while a little cheap-looking) does a good job of supporting the roller cover and makes clean-up that much easier. Unlike the more expensive Purdy cageless roller frame the Wooster's open plastic frame doesn't have the unfortunate habit of collecting and storing dirty cleaning water. Bottom line: you can roll one color, eject the cover and clean the frame, pop on another cover and do another color in no time flat. There are a few very minor complaints I have, however. The handle doesn't have the same solid, grippy feel like the Purdy cageless model. The long-term survivability of the plastic frame is something I worry about, too. And my unit seems to have a tiny mouse living inside it that makes it go "squeak-squeak-squeak!" with each move I make. But those issues won't stop me from giving this tool a 5-star rating! It's a great go-to tool for anyone who needs to paint a room or three and is on a budget. Take good care of this Wooster and it'll serve you well for many years. Definitely recommended.

Alright
Holds the roller well. Seems to be very sturdy. Have only painted a few rooms with it but we’ll see how it holds up. Has some weight to it, so not for someone with weak wrists.

A few bucks more = PROFESSIONAL RESULTS
Why have I been saving just a few bucks for every paint job by using cheap rollers? I found out that all that flexing and bending of the frame IS NOT NORMAL ! It was also the cause of most of my lousy results and the need to apply multiple coats trying to get a decent look. I thought that getting professional-level roller cages was going to be a budget eater - mostly why I never looked at them until now. Again, thanks to the professors at the "University of YouTube" I decided to try these out. Holy Cow! Just a few bucks per roller cage more and the night-and-day difference in painting experiences became an epiphany! No flexing, and the design is for LONG TERM LIFE with MUTIPLE USES. Add these to Wooster's Sherlock pole system, and painting became the joy I always thought it should have been - but never seemed to be attained. Seriously folks - - superior quality is just a cup-o-starbucks cost away! I highly recommend you try these out!

Easy to use, somewhat easy to clean, easy to remove the roller.
Is this roller frame really better then others? Maybe?I've used dozens of rollers over the years, as long as they work, it's a tool, it's fine. That said, It seems this roller rolls pretty smooth, I enjoy how you can slam the roller down and the roll comes right off, but not while painting. When cleaned right after use, it never gums up, paint never gets into the ball bearings, but only when cleaned right away.I'm not brand loyal, but this roller does seem to be slightly better then most other rollers I've used. For the price, I'd purchase this 9/10 times it's available as I've not had any issues with it.

Second purchase - loved the first one so much.
When we bought our house 6 or 7 years ago I bought one of these and loved it. During covid my husband repainted several of the rooms in our house with this roller. It had several hours of use. He tried to go back to one of other rollers and ended up throwing out all our old rollers. I ordered 2 more of these. They are smooth rolling and pretty easy to put on and remove. They take a little effort to remove but you want want the cover sliding off while you are trying to use it. I have arthritis in both my thumbs and I am still able to pull off the used rollers without any trouble.
