Well made part for your Jeep Cherokee
Perfect fit for a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, 4x4.Part is well made. The corresponding tie rod end needed at the pitman arm is the Moog ES3096LIf you are replacing the adjusting sleeve that is used with this part, the part number is ES2079SThe part is unpainted, with no finish or paint.I wanted to apply a finish to the metal and purchased a spray can of Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Enamel (15 minute Fast Dry) black paint from a local big box store. This paint worked great and applied an even, thick protective covering over the bare metal. There is enough paint in one can to cover other parts such as the threaded tie rod sleeve

Problem solved
I cheaped out when I replaced my steering 2 years ago and have regretted it. This time I used all Moog parts and couldn't be happier. The steering works better than ever

Good value
This part is beefier than the stock part. Easy to install and fit perfectly

000 miles the Moog components removed slop from the steering and have left me happy with their performance since
I was replacing the suspension in the jeep. With 330,000 miles the Moog components removed slop from the steering and have left me happy with their performance since. Great choice for restoration, works fine off road and smoothly on pavement.

Decent replacement, poor boot
It comes raw metal and needs painting, but that's how most front-end parts come. The main issue I had was that the boot doesn't fit properly and spews grease everywhere. I installed mine around March of 2021 and have put 50k miles on it, but because the boot doesn't fit right it's starting to fail. All the other moog parts I rebuilt my steering with came with the attached boot, I'm not sure why this one didn't. Frustrating that I've already got to replace it.

Fit like a glove
Wish I hadn't put this last TRE off so long. It seems to have been a significant contributor to my alignment issues. No more vibration at highway speeds. Of course, I also did all the other TRE's, ball joints, and track bar over the past year or so but this seems to be the most improvement in my front end. Steering feels tighter also. 1998 Jeep XJ. Fit like a glove. I did spray it with some protective paint which has rubber in it for durability and conformity with my other suspension parts. I would buy this again if necessary.

Good price, exact fit
Much better if it was painted, but price is reflected.

Fits 2000 Jeep Xj 4.0
good quality Moog parts. Great for replacing stock old XJ steering. If i did it again id probably just go with a 16inch rim and HD aftermarket steering kits.
