Eat Smart Precision Tracker Digital Bathroom Scale with Accutrack Software, Silver/Grey

UPDATED 10/3/2013: I have determined that the problem with locking in a weight rested solely on me. I've lost 40 lbs, which has changed my frame just enough to allow me to stand still. This scale is very sensitive, so being able to stand perfectly still is essential to getting an accurate weight. With that, it is now operating flawlessly for me. Kudos to Eat Smart products for producing a high quality product!EDITED 7/10/2013: I have to give credit to Bill @ EatSmart...he stands behind his products, and is certainly in touch with any customer having issues. I've received the second unit, and no change in the results. This product simply does not work FOR ME. I'm 5'11" and 375lbs. My frame is so large that I cannot seem to hold still long enough to let the scale lock in my weight. However, the scale does exceptionally well for the rest of my family.I've bumped up my rating to 4-stars because of the customer service, and because it appears that the problem resides with me. However, this remains the only scale that I've had this happen, and also means I must continue my search for a scale that will work for me.As long as you are able to stand still long enough to capture your weight, this scale will do a fine job for you. However, if there is even a minute sway while on the scale, it may affect your ability to use it.I still say the customer service is among the best I've seen. So, if nothing else, order the product and try it.EDITED 07/02/2013: I have been contacted directly by the company to address my concerns listed in this review. I have to give kudos to the EatSmart company, because they genuinely care about customer satisfaction. We were unable to fix the problem over the phone, so they are shipping me a new unit. I will post another revision once that unit arrives and I can test it.ORIGINAL REVIEW: This scale worked exactly as advertised out of the box, and the instructions are more than intutive. The scale works perfectly for my wife, my 3 year old son, and my 13 year old daughter. However, the experience of daily use has not lived up to expectations--because it doesn't work well for me.This scale is supposed to allow you track weight gain or loss based on your regular weigh-ins. I haven't even been able to log an initial weight, because the scale bounces the reading up and down several tenths of a pound while I stand on the scale. Eventually, the scale will give up and shut itself off. For whatever reason, this only occurs for me. I am well under the weight capacity for the scale.I can usually get a "general" idea of where my weight is at, but I've never been able to get an exact reading out of this scale. I've owned several in the past six years, and this is the first one that has failed to give me an exact reading.

I have never written a review for Amazon.com before, but I've also never been so thoroughly impressed with a product before - within seconds of opening the package. I ordered this scale because my wife and I were disgusted with the inconsistency of our Weight Watchers scale by Conair which we had purchased many years ago. That scale would keep track of your overall weight loss as well, but it would give different readings depending on where you stood on it and where it was on the tile floor. It also was plastic and creaky.The EatSmart Precision Tracker came last night and we couldn't wait to try it. Knowing the best time to weigh is in the morning, we decided to try it on our kids. Our 2 year old had never been heavy enough to register on the Weight Watchers scale. The Precision Tracker allowed us to see her weight for the first time. It consistently weighed all 3 of our kids. The one time we thought it was off, we found our daughter had grabbed a sippy cup, which explained the ever so slight weight gain.One thing I haven't seen in prior reviews was a description of how the Precision Tracker displays your weight from the moment you step on the scale. You know how an analog scale with a dial will give you smooth feedback of the increasing weight as you fully step on the scale? You see the dial go from 0 and increase as you step one foot on and than increase again as you put your second foot on, increasing to your actual weight as you shift your weight from the floor to the scale. This is the first digital scale I've seen that does this. I like it because that's user feedback I felt was missing from our previous scale and something lost when switching from analog to digital. Before I had to just trust the digital scale because I wasn't getting the continuous feedback of the increasing weight as I stepped on. It feels like I got back that aspect I felt I had lost when I switched from analog to digital.So, my wife and I waited until this morning to weigh ourselves at the normal time. My wife was worried we would gain from our previously inconsistent scale. We were both down a pound and unable to get the scale to show different weights no matter how many times we weighed ourselves. We totally love the fact that the scale knows the difference between the two of us and that we don't have to press any buttons before stepping on. You just step on the scale.Also, the scale is beautiful to look at. Our previous scale was cheap plastic and creaky sounding when you stepped on. This scale is solid, beautiful to look at, yet very thin. I love the glass top. I am so happy with this purchase, I want everyone to know how great this product is. Money well spent.Pros:It provides consistent weight.It provides continuous feedback of your weight as you step on.You just step on to use it. No tapping the scale or pushing buttons.It tracks weight loss progress.It knows the difference between my wife and I based on our weight.It's well constructed, solid, and has a durable feel.It's beautiful to look at.Cons:None

I bought this scale several years ago & used it daily for years. As a Canadian, I had to order it from the US. However, all good things come to an end. I was using other scales which were unreliable. When I saw this available on Amazon.ca, I happily re-ordered it. It maybe more expensive but it will last you for years.

scale worked ok then stopped working has error code and nothing company will do as out of warranty . I'll be going with another brand now
