Artistic Cards That Are Good For Mixed Media
Bristol artist cards are perfect for making your custom trading cards. The come precut in a trading card size, and can easily be fit into penny sleeves. They are thick, and can absorb some marker and watercolor without bleeding through too badly. It's definitely good for mixed media artist card making.

Great to do my sketches!
These work great for creating my sketch cards. Definitely better than trying to cut down a large sheet of paper.

Strathmore artist trading cards
I love exploring different papers!! Every paper has its own personality and strengths. I love Strathmore watercolor greeting cards and post cards, so I was excited to try these! As a sufferer of arthritis in my hands, I truly appreciate when I can find precut papers at a reasonable price (that, and craft blades and cutter blades do not last past a few cuts these days, to the point I am happy to have the company do it for me)! These trading cards tolerated artist tape without tearing, and my paints looked beautiful when dried. The reasonable price point removed a ton of personal pressure, lol! Unfortunately, the cards did buckle when I used wet on wet techniques, even when taped down. I'm not mad, as these are for fun and play. I perhaps might not use these for selling, due to the buckling. Then again, maybe *that's* one way you can know a real, actual human being painted it! :-)Dorland's wax medium helps preserve and stengthen my cards. Ultimately, I still prefer Legion Stonehenge Heavy pre-cut (sample; 2.5" x 3.75") blocks for my cards. Those do not like to be taped down and will tear, but I can use tiny office clips to hold them down just fine. They will dry flat and stay flat. But that's a personal preference as I am more heavy-handed with water. I am glad I tried these, and will probably continue to play and experiment with them, but thought my experience could help someone else. My true rating is a 4.5. Thank you Strathmore for a thoughtful and decent quality item! Happy creating, Reader!
