On the inside, is the bottom smooth or does it have those grooves?

It has very gentle indentations, not "grooves," but they won't damage the lenses. No need to be concerned.

Is the case shallow? the opti-free i have now is so deep it makes it really aggravating to pull them out.

It's the size of a regular contact case, not to deep, not too shallow, it should be aggravating to take them out

Are the lids marked L & R? I have a different Rx in each eye & that's a deal breaker as well as sanitary reasons. Thanks!

There is a L on the left. The other says bausch and lomb but if one is marked I guess they feel there is no chance of mixing them up
