One of the best marketing books going
I recommend this book to all the team members I've worked with over the years when joining as a junior marketer (or even not a junior). It offers a really great, easy to understand foundation of the essentials of marketing that are often overlooked or made too.... fluffy in other books. If you want a really stripped back, this is what marketing is style book, this is the one. Alan puts his years of experience, testing, trialing, and ideas into this book to offer an easy to follow blueprint on how to just start marketing today. Whether you're working in an agency, in house, for yourself, or own your own business and want to give it a go, this book is a must read!

As a sales manager, I've read my fair share of marketing books, but this one genuinely stands out. The approach of breaking down a marketing plan into a one-page system makes it incredibly accessible. It's like having a nifty Swiss army knife for marketing. I tried applying some of the tactics to a DIY project and saw immediate results; it’s versatile for both business and hobbies. However, the book could use a few more contemporary examples, especially involving digital channels, considering how rapidly things evolve. Despite receiving a barrage of follow-up emails after accessing some resources, the knowledge gained is worth every notification. Absolutely a must-read for anyone looking to sharpen their marketing edge!

Great book - a must read - a keeper!
This is a fantastic tool to add to the library. In fact it is more than a book as Allan offers loads of associated value - signposting readers to the book website for tips, tools and resources.At first glance it may look like a 'shortcut' offering - do not think this is a quick and easy guide to developing a marketing plan. Although the output - 1 Page Marketing Plan - is simple and concise - I was relieved to read that Allan still advises loads of hard work and research. He simply presents it in a very simple and methodical way.This book should be a 'Keeper' One we can refer to and use in our businesses not gather dust on the shelf!

The book makes you think, but when you go onto the website to download the plan, you get bombarded by emails

No nonsense Guidance on setting up a marketing system
I run a marketing agency and have been in the business for nearly 40 years. I always find it hard to explain to clients some of the marketing concepts outlined in this book. Dib does it so well and so succinctly. The reason I picked up the book was because it promised the plan in one page. I will be recommending the book to my clients and using the structure to guide clients. I found the book very easy to read.I have always found the marketing jargon and fluff of my own industry intensely annoying and almost like other agencies put this in to justify charging more. Ugh! I really appreciated Dib's plain speaking.

Every business owner should read this book
A great read with some great advice. No one knows how good your product or service is until they have bought it. Until that point they only know how good your marketing is. This book explains how your business can grow and be successful when you get the marketing right.

Tedious
For people new to marketing, the book is useful and valuable. But I doubt that they will get to the point that they will actually write the 1 page marketing plan.I think that from the title of the book, people expect a short structured guide to create a marketing plan. The author offers the marketing plan template for downloading, but no structured guide, you still have to read about 240pgs. It would take 2-3 weeks of heavy work to complete the task of reading and writing. Burnout in the process is very likely!A 2hrs video step by step course would work better. After that, people could work to improve their initial draft as they go and gain experience.I agree with others that examples of the plan would be very useful.

You NEED this
Where do I start?This is so succinct and I am obsessed. I bought the paperback and the Audible. I now have an easy to read and EXECUTE plan over all my business’. Even after all of my experience and an MBA. I have read nothing like this. Thank you Allan! Can’t wait to read lean marketing. Stop procrastinating on it and just hit buy.

Best book if your 're new to marketing or you 're an existing marketer
I had to pause reading half way just to come leave a review. I love love love!!!! this book. It is amazing.. explanatory; concise, detailed, indepth. It captures your mind and takes you on a journey.. and admonishes where necessary.
