24" New Cedar Planter Box (5 - Tall Version)

The planter was too narrow and not tall enough for my project. They will take return costs ($12) from the refund and the original shipping is non-refundable. A hefty price for a mistake.

Beautiful planter, very well made, good quality!

Construction is rather mediocre. The boards are nailed together without glue. The nails are not weather resistant and after less than 2 weeks outside they are already quite rusty and staining the wood around them as the photo shows. It seemed to me that in time the nails might work loose from the weight of the soil inside so I added some deck screws. I might just add more screws and pull all the nails. There are no drainage holes in the bottom; you need to drill them yourself.

This looks so beautiful as a windowbox! I had a plastic one for years and this is so much prettier! They even drilled holes in the bottom for me for drainage! I love it!

The box has no finish on it and isn't even sanded! It feels like I'm going to get splinters from it and the wood feels cheap. I could have gone to the hardware store and made one for half the cost in way less time especially since I have to sand and seal it anyway. I got it for a wedding decoration and plan on using it for herbs after so i didnt even open the box until past the return date.
