Viqua 602805 Replacement UV Lamp for Models D4, D4+, and Premium

The replacement light fits exactly. It functions perfectly. The light works as it should. It is easy to install if you follow the installation instructions. Be careful not to damage it as it is delicate. It is a good value for the money. This is the second one I have replaced at the service interval over the past two years and have had no issues. We use this light to assist in cleaning our rain water.

I replace this infrared bulb every year. It's for my house well water filtration system. Works as it should.

Fits every time and lasts the whole year. They keep getting more expensive every year though. Have seen where the knock offs don’t last or ruin the unit. Have stayed with the brand name for 5 years now.

I recently ordered the replacement bulb for my VIQUA D4 System. First, it was an easy install; less than 15 minutes. Saved me a $125 service call and I noticed last time the tech did not clean the glass tube where the bulb is housed. I used CLR as recommended in the instructions. Glad I cleaned the tube because on the initial inspection the tube looked clean. After wiping it with CLR and reminding the tube with clean water, you could the residue that was removed. If you don’t clean the tube, the efficiency of the bulb is reduced. Anyway, while opening the box where the tube came in I noticed a new cap for the bulb and a new o ring. According to the instructions, I needed to replace the old cap with the new one. However, the tube did not fit properly into the new cap, so I used the old one. Not sure if this will affect the performance or predispose the unit to leaking. We will see. At this point I am 100% satisfied and will by another bulb from Amazon again.

If you want UV protection on your water system this is the lamp to use with Viqua or the legacy Trojan systems. You can waste money on off shore lamps that only last a few months. They even fool you with the Viqua part number but the reviews are telling: wrong shape connectors and poor lamp life. The items are even relisted to hide the poor reviews. The Viqua lamp is made in North America, has Viqua branding on the lamp and lasts more than a year. Mine is still strong after a full year of use.
