Happy Puppies
The seller is great. I ordered this less then 24 hours ago and it is here already. This is not my first time using this product. I adopted a little chihuahua/ mini pin last March. By the middle of last summer it was pretty obvious he had a food allergy. He was always chewing his paws and rolling around to scratch his back. His vet recommended I start a chicken free diet. I did but did not see results. It takes about 6 weeks to get the food out of their system. Mean while, a friend told me she had tried this product and was really happy. I figured I would give it a shot. Turns out he was allergic to chicken but also some other things that I had been feeding him. I printed out the results and found a brand of food that was safe for him to eat. I have not had any problems since. Now my 11 month old dutch shepherd is chewing and scratching himself. I bought the test again for him so I can find the best adult dog food for him.

Worthless!
My dog suffers from constant itching so I decided to order this because I wasn't getting anywhere trying to eliminate different foods from her diet over several months. Well the results came back and it said she was allergic to just about everything. I switched her to a different diet based on the results and I still had no luck. I decided to bite the bullet and take her into the vet to have the rather expensive allergy test where they draw blood. The results were completely different! She didn't have food allergies at all. She is allergic to mites! It also showed a couple of environmental (plant) allergies which are not native to this area. My advice is to not waste your money on this product - it's absolutely worthless.

not sure about this now...
We ordered this for our 4 year old Shih Tzu who has very obvious allergies. He constantly licks and chews on his feet and legs and they are reddish in color (where they would normally be white). We bought him prescription food low in allergen inducing ingredients but it wasn't enough. A friend recommended this test because the vet wanted $500+ to do an allergy blood test. This one was very well priced. I was a little suspicious because of that and because they use saliva and hair (like a genetic test) so I wasn't sure if I could trust it or not, but for the price I decided to do it anyway. We also paid a little extra to get it rushed to us and they did get it to us on time. That said, I originally gave this a great review because it came back with a thorough take on all things food, environmental and chemical that he could be allergic to. We immediately changed his diet. The food he'd been on was a prescription vet food in which the protein source was Kangaroo. That was on the list as an allergen. But the list found that he was ok with chicken, eggs, beef and bison (admittedly a short list). So we found a new vet who prescribed a new food with chicken and NO grains (since he was allergic to mostly ALL grains and rice) and I even found organic treats that had no ingredients in them he was allergic to.It told us environmental and chemical allergies as well and we know he has those but controlling it will be a whole different problem. His allergies went down in the beginning but he was still licking and biting which I assumed was because of the environmental allergies. But I thought this would be worth it if we could take away some of his discomfort for the food part. For environmental, we try to keep the carpet vacuumed regularly and wash his bedding regularly because of dust but outside, I'm sure he's allergic to grasses and trees but there's not a lot we can do short of not taking him outside-which can't happen. His licking picked up again until his fur was dark red and dark brown, there were black spots on his skin, there were sores on his chest and under his arms, his ears were gooey and red, he was constantly itching, butt scooting, needing his anal glands done (part of the allergies). We took him to a new vet who found he had a bacterial infection, a yeast infection and an ear infection. He got antibiotics and we sprang for the blood test which was much less expensive from our new vet. The environmental has come back and it does not match the holistic results. There are at least 4 things that are allergens on the blood test that are not highlighted as allergens on the holistic test and he's allergic to our cat which was on the blood but not on the holistic test. We went ahead and ordered the food blood test at the additional expense (only a little more than the holistic) to see how different that is and I suspect it will be. I will update this when we get it in two weeks.Definitely disappointing. Do they guess? How accurate is it? I'll know more when I get a hard copy of them in my hands to compare.

Quite accurate and reasonably priced
My allergy dog had the ELisa test done about 8 years ago due to severe allergies. She had done really well eliminating the foods that she was allergic to according to Elisa. Enter... my sisters dog who also developed allergies and I suggested she try this test as none of the vets where she lives would do the Elisa test. I decided that I would also do this testing on my dog to see how closely they matched. The folks were easy to deal with, the test is easy to perform and the results came in a reasonable amount of time. This test had a lot more parameters than the Elisa and for the most part I would say that it was about 90% accurate with regard to the Elisa results. That is giving a leeway also for the fact that 8 years have passed since I did the Elisa.Like another reviewer I found that the protein section was probably the least accurate - not sure why. My dog is allergic to all things with feathers and this test said she could have chicken. I certainly wouldn't feed her chicken but some of the other proteins were ok. She IS allergic to venison because I used to feed that until she developed an allergy to it.So, over all I think this is a great test at reasonable cost that should at least give folks a guideline from where to work from. Keep in mind that proteins might be a problem and remember to limit your pet to one novel (new never fed before) protein and one novel carbohydrate. For example, my dog is on Rabbit & Tapioca...Good luck! I know how hard these allergies are to deal with! Frustrating for sure.

I ordered the expedited results since my dog had been itching like crazy and nothing I did seemed to help. They came as promised. It helped me narrow down several factors of what may be causing her discomfort. I am thankful this was available and I decided to do it. I was told by my vet it can cost $200-300 just to check food allergies. This was money well spent.

Didn't tell me the level of sensitivity of each of the 'triggers' so I don't know where to go from here to get the proper food for my dog. All of the 'triggers' are in every food I researched!

sweet potatoes, peas
i dont think it is very accurate, or my dog is allergic to EVERYTHING! beef, chicken, turkey, salmon, manhaiden fish, potatoes, sweet potatoes, peas, all grains, eggs, dairy, ETC the list goes on, and there is no dog food that would be suitable for my dog unless i made it myself.
