Quality Reel for the money!
I've used Penn 330 and 345GTs in the past and wanted reels the same size and features. To me this reel is built as well if not better than my previous Penns. Star drag has spring loaded detents for a solid feel when adjusting. Drag is smooth and easily meets rated specs. Reel crank knob and arm is beefed up and rugged. Gears are oversized as well and so far are holding up just fine. Spool and level guide is solid. The only knock I have is the spool lock lever is not metal and feels like it's light duty compared to the rest of the reel.

Can go wrong with a convector for Lake Michigan. For a hobby fisherman this is perfect price point with quality

Upgrade drags is a must with these reels!
Ordered 6 of these reels, as they are discontinuing them and i like them better than the newer model $170 reels. Two of the 6 drags did not work the first time out, but for $15 you can upgrade the drags. Never had issue with other 55l converters not working out of the box, but since i planned on upgrading drags anyways wasnt a big deal for me. These reels, with upgraded drags are cheaper and better then the new reels okuma is offering, i plan on ordering more before they are sold out for good.

solid reel
solid reel feels well made, smooth drag and clicker, nice handle, loaded with 60lb suffix mono about 300 yards, plan to use as a live bait setup for stripers feels like it can take some abuse.
