The cable connector started falling apart within a couple days of first using it
5 stars UPDATE!!! After many months of having a basically bad cable that was shorting my USB, I was about to throw it away. I had received an email from RND asking if I was satisfied so I searched my inbox for that, and just for the heck of it I told them this particular cable was not designed well and it had failed. They immediately sent me a replacement, which is the cable currently pictured here. I can say with great confidence they have fixed the issue and they stood by the product and replaced it when it was defective. I only regret not emailing them sooner. We have 5 of their cable products and now I can claim 100% satisfaction. END UPDATEThis cable is actually much thicker than it appears in the picture. Unfortunately that causes enough stress at the lightning connector that the rubber strain relief which is barely held in, quickly works loose from the plastic connector. Now I can see the wires. Also sometimes when inserting the cable into the phone the plastic slides toward the phone which means the connector is sliding into the plastic. That means it doesn't go into the phone far enough. I can easily correct this by pulling the metal connector back out of the plastic, but it's a hassle. Even with all of this, it still works! I intend to get some heat shrink with glue inside (a common marine product) and place it over the cable and plastic to create a new strain relief. Unfortunately the heat shrink is rather expensive too. We had a 30pin RND cable for the ipad that was also quite long but has a thing cable and it's still like new after a couple of years of use. I also just ordered 2 30 pin RND cables (3ft) for my kid and MIL so I have not lost all faith in the company. I just think this particular cable was not well done. The wire near the lightning connector needs to be thinner and more flexible in order to avoid the problem. Be nice if the entire cable was thinner. I think they were worried about current carrying capability more than flexibility. I'm sure my iPhone 5 doesn't need that much current, but the iPad does and it uses the same connector. Perhaps a more flexible iphone only version would be better.

Great product
This was my second 10' connector for my iPhone 5, and is probably the best upgrade you can make for your iPhone or iPad! No more sitting on the ground next to an outlet, or leaning over the side of your bed at night trying to use your phone while plugged in!I used the first one for a few months before the cord started to separate where the cord attached to the plastic connector going into the phone itself, and started to only charge when at a certain angle and would constantly flip from charging mode to disconnected when actually handling the phone, despite the fact that the connector itself was still securely inserted in the phone, which was too annoying to put up with. Although the first one didn't last as long as I would have hoped, it lasted longer than a Griffin cord that I had previously purchased that suffered the same fate after only a few weeks of use, although the Griffin cord lost the ability to charge at all. Would have rated 5 stars had the first one held up longer.Upon purchasing my second RND cord, I also bought one for my parents and brother, because the freedom of having a 10' cord is pretty much life changing, allowing you to actually use your phone, comfortably, while charging... which iPhones tend to require quite often!

I would give it 7 stars, and then gather the Dragon Ball and wish for another star if I could
This year it got thicker. I mean, its already such a great product but it got thicker. That's what she said. Just look at the picture. THe left one is the 3 year old RND 10ft cable. The right one is the NEWER ONE. This is probably gonna last me until I get married and I have my grandchildren.Long story short, I have ONLY been buying from this brand for the past 6 years after being sick of Apple default cables. Enough said.

Only charging sporadically after several months
I purchased this cable because I was looking for a longer cord to charge my iPhone 5. This got good reviews compared to others out there, so I was willing to spend the extra money. It worked as expected for the first few months and I absolutely LOVE the long cord. However, just a few days ago, it started doing something weird where it only charges if I unplug/re-plug it about 5 or 6 times. I have to play with it for a bit. I don't get the message about charging not being supported on this device like I have with some other cords, but it just doesn't do anything.I generally unplug the end that goes into my phone first and then plug it back in. I try that a few times and if it doesn't work, then I unplug the USB end a few times. If that doesn't work, then I unplug the actual adapter from the outlet a few times. That usually fixes it, but if it doesn't, I have to power off my phone, power it back on, then unplug and re-plug the adapter a few more times before it actually starts charging. It's a pain in the butt. I thought that maybe it could be a short, but nothing happens when I wiggle the ends of the cord, so I have ordered a new adapter. It's possible that's the problem. I guess we'll see. I hope so, because this cord is fantastic when it works.

Great Product
I don't review products that much on Amazon, but I felt that I had to write about this product. As everyone knows, the USB charger cords that come with iPads are flimsy and weak. My son has ruined two (original Apple cords) of them while using his mini iPad. I was looking for a replacement for him and cautiously ordered this product for mine to try it out. I've had it for about three months now and I am very pleased. The portion that plugs into the iPad is reinforced very well. This is the point that tore on my son's cords. The cord is extra long and I am pleased with its reach. My husband was also impressed with how sturdy the cable is. It also seems that our iPads (I have the full size and my son the mini) charge quicker. I am not a "techie" person so I have no detailed explanation for this. Just relaying my observations. In short, I bought a second cable and I would recommend this product to anyone.

Happy with it
Works well, been very happy with it and it gets a LOT of use! It was thicker than I expected, but that wasnβt a big deal.

UPDATED: not very strong in the long run
..*** SEE UPDATE BELOW ***PROS:-Quality built, nice and strong.-More than long enough; about 3x the length of a regular one.-The lightning jack has that satisfying "click" when you plug it into your device, unlike cheaper cables.-No "Device is not supported" errors so far.-Fairly cheap for Apple Certified cables.-Regular shipping arrived FAST to GTA in Ontario.CONS:-Nothing, really!--------UPDATE (Nov. 18/14): I've been using these cables for the past 5 months, and they are already starting to fall apart. The lightning plug casing is now slipping off sporadically, exposing the internal wires (PHOTO: http://i.imgur.com/bj14j41.jpg). Every once in a while, I now get a "This accessory may not be supported" error and it stops charging, until I unplug and jiggle it around a bit, which leads me to believe there is a loose connection in there somewhere. Honestly, I take really good care of my cables - there's NO reason for this to be happening after only 5 months of moderate use. Sadly, my previous 5-star review has now been demoted to a 2-star.

Not reliable at all, do not purchase.
These cables work only SOME of the time. The rest of the time, devices plugged into them will sporadically display error messages about the cable not being compatible and the device will not charge. This might happen right when you plug in the device or it might happen after you've walked away from a seemingly charging device, only to find later that it did not charge. This is a waste of money. Go buy something else that works and stay away from these. This happened with two cables that I bought, right out of the package.
