This movie was my favorite movie as a kid

My kids loved this movie when they where little and now can watch it with there kids and still one of their favorite movies today.

I enjoyed this movie as a child and I still enjoy it. Great family movie but it looks like a bootleg copy

I loved this movie as a child and get to share it with my family! It brought back great memories and now I might have to research to find the memoriabla that sung and danced with it!

So, this is one of those movies I remember seeing a long time ago and then promptly not remembering if I imagined it or if it really exists. Movies like: The Peanut Butter Solution, The Explorers, The Hoboken Chicken Emergency, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, The Mouse and the Motorcycle, The Quest, Babe: Secret of the Lost Legend, and this movie are just.. weird things I saw in the 1980s/1990s that don't really hold up as anything more than just a fun waste of time. It's worth watching at least a few times.The movie has a lot of great actors in it that people will recognize from other things. BUT I wanted to make this review to mention that the design of Purple, the Purple People Eater, is done by The Chiodo Brothers according to the credits on the DVD.They made the two-eyed, poison-horned, nasty little people eaters of Critters. They also worked on Killer Klowns from Outer Space.So, Purple is a friendly Crite.Yeah........maybe no one needed to know that? But now you do. You have to live with that knowledge now.

I really enjoyed this fun family movie from the 1980's with lots of great talented actors/actress and singers like: Shelley Winters, Ned Beatty, Neil Patrick Harris, Peggy Lipton, Dustin Diamond,Chubby Checker, Little Richard, and others. It was great to see them all together in a movie.They just don't make movie like this anymore.
