What is the awg (wire gauge)? (it looks like maybe 18 in the pic, but could be 16)

The cord is AWG 18, SPT 2/2 which means it has thicker insulation .045", while SPT 1/2 has thinner insulation 03". They both handle 7amps. Hope this helps....
