Not a low-kickback design, which means it actually gets with the cutting project. If you can't handle this, get something else. I've used many of these on a 20" Husqvarna 50cc saw. They sharpen easily. The only real downside is that they have an awful lot of "stretch" ... so much that they will exceed the adjustment limit of my saw .... at which point, I replace the chain.

Works great!! I purchased this chain for my old McCulloch Timber Bear 20" saw (the big, heavy yellow one) Cuts like a knife through warm butter!! :) I like that these chains are the professional ones....WITHOUT the anti kickback design. I've used these chains before on my old Homelite XL12 for a couple years now...love them and will continue to use them!!Just a note for people that may not know...when you purchase chains from the big box stores, they all are the consumer grade "anti kickback" chains. They are safer, however, it also slows the cut down. I prefer using the Professional grade chains without the "anti kickback" design. When you purchase online, just pay attention to what you order. I'd cross reference the chain number against Oregons website just to be sure, their website will tell you all the details on the chain.

I have the poulan pro 5020 20” bar chainsaw. The chain the originally came with my saw is absolute garbage. I did some research and found other Amazon customers suggesting this chain, AND FOR GOOD REASON!!! This chain turns the Poulan Pro into a PRO. It just keeps cutting and cutting with ease. I’ve ordered 6 in the last year and have enjoyed using my saw every time I put a new one of these chains on. If you want your Poulan Pro to cut like a pro, get this chain! You won’t be disappointed.

I have this on an Echo Timberwolf and this chain will crank out some big chip sawdust and look for more. I cut up two large beech trees before I had to dress up the chain with a file but for the money you can't go wrong. I'll buy another one when needed. I haven't noticed any difference in kick back from the stock chain but I'm pretty careful about small sticks etc being out of the way.

Cut through black walnut, cherry, fir, hemlock, and alder without any issues. Fantastic so far for cutting up firewood and limbing some trees. Keep it lubricated and tensioned properly (had to adjust it some at first) and it works like butter through a hot knife... or something like that.You do need to be aware of the extra risk of kickbacks, but it allows you more flexibility in use without reducing efficiency.

Wish I ordered this earlier! Day and night vs the "low-kickback" chain that came with the saw. This one WORKS like a charm: no need to force the bar into the cut, it bites and cuts by itself. After about 3 hours of pure cutting through hardwood, still sharp and performs the same as new.Fit my PP5020AV perfectly (on original bar - 70 links).I tried to provoke kickback by touching the upper corner of the nose - there was a powerful jerk, much stronger than with the "low-kickback" chain, but nothing scary or unmanageable. Watch what's behind the log, avoid pinching, wear protection, keep left arm straight and stay off-center vs the bar.In the plunge cut, this chain tends to pull in the direction of the top of the bar - be careful when setting the hinge, face the bar top away from it, otherwise you may damage the hinge.

only tried the chain for a little bit but seemed fine. was 10 bucks less than were i was getting in town

Wow. My Poulan Pro just turned into a light saber.Whipped through 10" boughs like butter, makes the saw work less as it is so efficient.Buying again this fall.
